Trinidad did mine too and she did a very good job, not exactly what I wanted but still very nice (and much better than both the styles I got for both my at home receptions). I would rate her a 9/10.

Perhaps Trinidad is the best and always does the brides? Or maybe it's just a coincidence. There were two other ladies that did my two bridesmaids.

Sisterofthebrideerica - it's been a while since we saw you on here. Looking forward to reading your site visit review! (even though I'm already married it's still fun to be involved in all this stuff and hear about how other peoples' experiences were compared to mine, that's why I love reading reviews and seeing pictures!)

I think the reason we got the mtg so long was we were willing to wait until the end of the day. Our tasting was our dinner and we conducted the mtg throughout the tasting. Here are a couple of tips I have for info. for the meeting:

1. Have specific pics of what you want if it is important to you.
2. Of course you will have color options of linen etc. She doesn't bring samples so if you have a color you are trying to match bring a sample to show her.
3. If you need special meals (kids, vegetarian) let her know. They are very accomodating. She allwed us the salmon in puff pastry for those that did not eat meat. Kids meals are only $20
4. You can choose a first drink for your cocktail hr. They will have it on a tray while guests arrive. If you have a signature cocktail bring the rec. with you. Or have some ideas of what you would like. We chose a mojito.
5. If Landy agrees to something ask her to write it on her sheet, then send her an email confirming it and ask her to put it in your file. Since you don't sign a contract for payment until you arrive for your wedding this is very important!

Hey All, I am new on this forum, but cannot believe the wealth of information!! I wondered how long it took you you to get a reply confirmation on your date. On the Dreams website, it said you would receive a reply within 2 business days. With everything that's been said about response time, can I really trust them to get back to me? Thank for your help!

it took them a few days to get back to me. Just be patient-I posted Lizet's email address a few pages ago-she is Landy's assistant and can reserve your wedding date. You should have a few dates in mind. She will get back to-you can trust that part. They are super busy this time of year and I know it can be very frustrating waiting. I called them a few times also and just kept calling until I spoke to someone and reserved my date.

Don't stress-they will get back to you.

I would highly suggest calling them too! I know it isn't cheap but the peace of mind it will bring you is worth every penny. It may take a few trys (don't leave a voicemail) but if you keep calling someone will eventually be available to pick up and you could confirm the date on the spot.

Ladies, please read this thread.

Keep the hysteria down. If all of you contact your WC at Dreams Tulum, they are going to be completely overwhelmed and not be able to handle you all.

At this point, Dreams Tulum remains open, and any speculation about them being shut down is PURELY SPECULATION. As of right now, they are not affected by any of the hotel closures going on in Tulum.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
