Hi all,

My name is Diana and my Fiancé's is Manny. We got engaged last September, but we were busy having a baby (he was born in November). We knew for sure we wanted a destination wedding, but were not sure where. We wanted to get married in San Andrés Island (words cannot describe the beauty of this island, but the tourism industry is not well developed, so there weren't a lot of options for a decent wedding) and then Panama (the beaches are not that beautiful). We love turquoise water and white beaches and decided to go for Punta Cana even though we have never been there nor do we know anybody there :)

We will be there the second week of June to check out the resorts and book the date (hopefully Feb 19th. We'll keep our fingers crossed).

Congratulations X 2! I'll be soo interested into hearing about your trip there in June! I just love it there but I've never looked into weddings when I've been there. We are getting married there in January but haven't narrowed our resorts down yet...soon, I hope! I think you'll find tons of info on here to help plan your wedding!

Hi Diana congrats on your engagement and your baby boy. You are definitely in the right place, the forum is a great resource for planning your DW. There are many Punta Cana brides on the forum who will be able to help you in finding the right destination and all to expect on that island. Good luck and happy planning!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
