They ended up looking beautiful and I just got smaller versions in only orange for my BMs. I think it was $35 for BM and $100 for mine. I brought down the extra hemmed fabric from my gown and wrapped the stem of my bouquet with it for an extra personal touch. Look in my pictures/review and you can see the flowers.

that's a great idea, I'll have to remember to ask to save the extra fabric from my dress too!!!!

I'm having the toughest time picking out flowers for my bridesmaids...they are so expensive and the pics that my WC sends me look terrible!!  I would love to hear feedback on how well Lomas interpreted what you asked for? Did you like your bouquets?

I was really stuck on what flowers I wanted for my BMs as well and finally settled on matching their bouquets to the large hanging bouquets we had on the alter. I believe they were all white stargazer lilies. I had asked for the greenery to be sea grass only to tie in to my bouquet; however, I was horrified when I saw that they used that cheapy green fern filler crap instead.

Also, I begged them to import white calalilies and they refused saying that they did not want to risk the flowers turning brown in transit and then having a pissed bride. We used white rose pedals in our centerpieces at the reception and those had started to turn brown by the time the reception started, so I have to believe them about shipping the flowers.

My cousin got married at EDR and had a gorgeous bouquet of pink and orange flowers. Her BMs just had smaller versions of her bouquet, so maybe you could go that route if you have already settled on what you want.

Hello Ladies!

So I have to say I am a newbie! I am getting married at EDR on October 5, 2013. After reading many of your posts I feel so overwhelmed already! I just received my first e-mail from Claudia our WC this week. Has anyone else had her? Where do I even start with planning with her? We went with the pearl wedding package since we are staying on the Royale side and had to pick a package. We also want things that are not necessarily in the wedding package! HELP!

Congrats! I have Claudia as well, and have been very happy with her. She usually responds within a day or two and is able to answer any questions I have. We are also doing the Pearl Package, and then doing any add-ons for things that may not be included. It can be super overwhelming, especially the first few emails from her, because there can be so much to cover. Has she emailed you yet? If you have any specific questions feel free to message me and I can try and help. The best thing to do is make the big decisions (gazebo, reception, etc) and take it from there. If you know what feel you're going for, it'll help her be able to help you better - if that makes sense :)

Thanks so much!! I have received the first e-mail from her and that's possibly why I am feeling overwhelmed. I will take your advice and start with the big things then go with the smaller details. May I ask which gazebo you are having the ceremony? I am thinking we are going to go with the D'Italia Casitas Gazebo but not sure yet. I am still wanting to do a private reception with DJ or ipod. Not sure yet!

We are at the Presidential Gazebo - we are only having about 20 people so it will be small. My FI wanted this one because he really wanted the gazebo on the beach, and on the same level as all of our guests. We're then having the private reception at Health Bar, and using our "reservation" from the package for a Friday night welcome dinner at La Isla. We were initially going to just use that as our "reception" but after some back and forth decided we wanted a more private feel. Due to the small guest count (immediate family only) we are only having an iPod - I didn't want to spend the money on a DJ to just dance with my parents haha. We'll go out after the private reception/dinner to some of the bars at the resort. Once you decide the vibe you want for the wedding, things will start to fall into place. I also recommend you think about what things are really important to you and focus on those. For example, it was so important to me that we have a great photographer. To do so, we cut the budget elsewhere to make this happen. You just gotta keep what's important in sight. Things can add up and spiral pretty quickly :)

I am sure this topic has come up before but what photographer did everyone use? I loved Sarani but she is booked. I am tempted to go with Caribe since they are much cheaper but I'm a little nervous about using them. The photos are important to me but not overly important. I basically want some shots of the ceremony and a few of my FI and I, and our families. I don't want to spend a lot of time with the photographer either.
