I am going with Marvin for flowers. His prices are way too good compareed to the resorts. So, I'll probably just have someone from my group meet him in the lobby. One of my main concerns is the flowers for the chapel. I am not sure what I want to do for it, but wants enough white/ivory flowers there.

DJ - I think I am using DJ Doremixx. I am not sure though if I'm getting the light up floor or not yet. Since my reception will be at night, I am trying to figure out lighting on the beach.

Rehearsal Dinner - no clue!! Its way to expensive to do a private event, and I just can't get the whole paying to eat at an all inclusive resturaunt. If they are going to charge me anyway, I might as well go to a place outside of the hotel. SO, I am not sure yet, but am looing into it. Everyone expects it, so I gotta figure somethingout...

What about you, any thoughts on these things? What time is your ceremony again?

Oh okay, I should look into their flowers as well. Do you have their phone number? I'm not sure about having a DJ since my wedding reception is in the afternoon. My wedding ceremony is at 10am..As far as rehersal dinner, I was also thinking of doing it somewhere outside of the resort since it's going to cost money regardless and also because I want my guests to have a different place to eat at least once while they are there! :)

I think the phone numbers are international. but what it says is 998.9913397/8813852; cell 044.998.144.4336. I have just been emailing him though at [email protected]

Thats true about the DJ and you reception during the day. Are you planning on doing anything that night like going out anywhere?

I havent looked into anyoutside places for the rehearsal yet, so if you or anyone can reccomend any, please let me know so I can price out.

Thanks! :)

Oh okay cool, I'll just email him as well. Maybe he'll give a better deal if we both use him....What do you think?

After the wedding, we just plan to hang out and be with our family and friends. What about you? I might have to crash your wedding lol

We could definitely try for that!! What do you have in mind for flowers, and what are your colors? PM me your email address and let's try and figure it out!! :)

And not sure yet about going out. My reception is supposed to be until 9 or 10, i think (I have finalize times still), and I guess after will just be up in the air. I've heard alot of people will go out since the bars are so close, but as of now everyone is still kinda skeptical about going out of the resort. So, if still after we get there no one wants to leave then hopefully the lobby bar isn't packed, lol! But definitely come crash!! :)

Yay! I just PMed you. I forgot to include my colors though. I'm using a color called Perisimmon. It is like an orangy pinkish red lol. I wanted coral but my bridesmaid's dress designer did not have the dresses in that coral. I would also like to incorporate ivory and MAYBE yellow as an accent color...how about u?

Yeah, I would like to go out to the local bars as well but I think our guests might feel skeptical as well. Maybe going to the bar in the lobby will be a better idea! And I was just kidding lol I wouldn't crash your wedding!!! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
