What if it rains???

Recommended Posts

When I checked the forcast for my wedding week... it showed rain every day! It rained the first day... that was it! They have different locations set up if it does rain (both ceremony & reception), one of the brides on here has pics of her wedding that was moved indoors... and it was still beautiful!

It's funny, I was so stressed out about everything when I left for Jamaica...but by the time the day arrived... I was completely stress free! It really helps to have those extra days before to just chill out!

Good luck with everything...you will love it!

Marie: I'm starting to plan our wedding. We are getting married at the ROR in April 2011 and are also flying out of Halifax. The rates I've received hover around $1800. If you don't mind me asking, is that approximately what your group will be paying? Thanks so much and all the best next week!

So, I'm back from my wedding at RMB, and what happened at 2:15 on May 5 after our ceremony? It rained!

No worries though. It was actually a blessing! Our eyes were open through the ceremony because it wasn't crazy bright outside, my husband wasn't sweating through his clothes, and Lincoln (the Photoshop photographer) came back the next day to shoot more pics without the rain!

No problem, mon! Rain means good luck!

Perplexy!

It rained on our wedding day May 6th too!!

AND YOU'RE RIGHT-NO PROBLEM. Just as dad and I were walking down the sand, lol-it started showering...it was a beauiful day up til about an hour before the ceremony-dark clouds hovered......I remember saying to my then groom as we stood listening to the minister "Mathew-its rraining....its raining" ..we were both half laughing as if saying "what were the chances" he kept whispering "dont worry about it"...and we didnt.....it ws sooo refreshing.....we welcomed it-no one got soaking wet...but Chandlynn was there on standby just in case.....Im so happy now that we had that weather vs the the hot hot sun shinning down on us-it wasa blessingin disguise....and you're right-its good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
