Recommended Posts

I will leave work for at 5pm this coming Tuesday and on Wednesday at ~4am I will be leaving for the airport.  So I pretty much have to get everything done this weekend...wish me luck.

I am so sorry to hear that you are sick.  The good news is that you have 11 days until you leave, so you should definitely be feeling better by the time you head off for your DW.  In my opinion, if you feel like you need to stay in bed over the weekend, then you should do it.  I think recovering faster and then hitting the wedding-to-do list is likely going to put you further ahead than staying sick longer and being less productive.  We will all be sending good thoughts you way....

I know i should just stop and take care of myself ,but it is so hard. I don't even have shoes yet!!!! I ran around all day yesterday and have no clue how i managed it. I am pretty sure I am skipping the Halloween parties tonight though : (

Thank you for the good thoughts!!!!!

Oh BTW FI is really good with helping with little projects and stuff. He is scared to help me sometimes though cuz i am a perfectionist and i yelled at him for putting the stickers on our invites crooked. He knows can can only do the preliminary helping. haha

Omigosh, it sounds like everyone has something to bring them down this last week. So sorry to hear about all your stresses Joanne! MeBonidie2be - I hope you feel better soon!!! Sleep as much as you can (if that's possible!)

I am totally in the same boat - I am not excited AT ALL and I wish I were. My to do list for each day is about 8 items long (plus work, working out, tanning). I am MAJOR pms'ing (I am so bitchy I could probably punch a kitten today), there's construction going on 7 days a week in our building that sounds like jack hammers all day long, and Fi and I haven't been able to spend a weekend alone together in weeks.

Whoo! Thanks for letting me rant ladies!

JBean, I'm sorry for everything that is causing you issues, and not that I wish any of those of you, but it's good to hear others are struggling with a few things too and it's just not me, and it's quite normal for everything to not go smoothly and know other brides are stressing and it's not just me.

Even though I am still overwhelemed, I am definitely feeling in a better place and I'd like to thank all your girls. I had my mini melt down and vented on here (such a huge relief to get it all off my chest) and I would like to thank all of you for you kind words of support. I still feel like there are a million things to do, and even though i'm stressed I have a better attitude ..... one at a time!

This evening we did get my wedding band!! It's here at my house and I am dying to look at what Mike got engraved inside, but am resisting the urge. He doesn't know what I got engraved on his so think it's only fair I don't peak, but I am suspecting it will be our initials and date. Think I may have mentioned it on here before but not sure, on Mike's I had our wedding date and "I Love You" in Irish engraved, I really wanted something gaelic in all of this!

Regarding time, I feel your pain, normal life is hectic as it is, but between ramping up gym sessions, tanning, wedding stuff, etc, ..... I have no time to sleep!! We fly Sunday morning, and the day before I have leg and eyebrow wax in morning, then haircut and highlights, then mani/pedi, so that's Saturday gone. Monday I have dentist and a few other appointments. Friday is the legal wedding. So only a few days in between to get all wrapped up. Why didn't we elope, LOL!!!!

I'm sorry to hear people are sick, it's going around so bad, but be glad you have it now and not closer to your wedding date. It would suck flying with that. I agree with the other girls though, rest up now for a day or two and then get back into superwoman mode.

We fly in exactly one week and 10 hours!! Our flight is at 7am which means we have to hit the road at 4am, and all I can say is AMEN that the clocks in the US change next saturday night so it's really 5am and not 4am. That extra hour will make a huge diff!

Oohhhh, I love the idea of doing a one year BD shoot!! Definitely thinking back there are so many other poses I would have loved to try so it would be fun to do again now after trying it once!

I am hoping that the stress for all of us will end as soon as we get to the airport and they check our bags.  As we head for security with our dresses and carry-on in hand, it will be too late to worry about anything else.  I am hoping that is when the real excitement will return.  Fingers crossed ladies!!

We are all so stressed because we are trying to so hard to make our weddings perfect.  We have to realize that everything will be wonderful even if a few things aren't finished or they are forgotten.

Stress seems to be our good friend these days. It's understandable when melt-downs happen. I've been beyond stressed living among boxes (we are finally moving tomorrow), trying to finish wedding things, and trying to get more work done on my dissertation or finish it if at all possibke before i leave next Sunday (highly improbable). My honey tries to help but he's been working a lot to make up for the time off for our DW. So I ended up getting sick and am trying to recover. The cold weather sure doesn't help with that. I can't believe we leave next Sunday....I'm not terribly excited either..... sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
