I am very disappointed this week. I have been eating amazing. My healthiest food week to date, plus I have been exercising really well. All week my weight has been going down. Well, this morning, I got on the scale and I am up. I know it is pms weight because its that time, but I feel sooo frustrated. I was looking forward to finally having a decent sized loss.

Yay I'm down this week! I've been eating really well, although not exercising as much as I would like, and I think the stress of being only a week away from the wedding is keeping the scale down. So Yay for stress weight loss??

Can't to relax this long weekend! Happy May 2-4 fellow Canucks!

Ugh this week has been horrible for me! I had friends in town and the weekends eats were less than desirable. Also, I didnâ€t come to work Monday since they were here, making me have to work 4 /10 hour days to make it up. I have an hour commute each way, so my days have been about 12 hours. So no workouts for me. Ok, my pity party is over!

Now I have to report on the immense stress that Iâ€m under right now. FI was casually looking for jobs, as his firm started doing layoffs. Heâ€s in a very specialized area, so jobs have been scarce. We find out last week that he has an interview in LA this past Wednesday. We were on the fence about it, as we wanted to go home to Denver. But he went anyway. Heâ€s not sure how it went, but they said they would want him to start RIGHT away. LA is about 350 miles south of us. THEN we hear that his current firm may have lost one of their biggest clients- which means current job could go belly up soon…..so now we WANT the LA job. I donâ€t know how it would work though. He would have to move down first alone, find a place alone- I would have to give my two weeks notice, pack the apartment, have him come up to help move 2 weeks later……………all a month in a half before the wedding!? And if he doesnâ€t get it………… weâ€re pretty much screwed if he gets laid off. I think I just gained a lb thinking about it………………Sorry for the book!!! I just feel like Iâ€m going to scream..

Thanks for listening ladies

Hey Jannae,

Wow, you have a lot on your plate! It sounds like things are extremely stressful for you right now, but I hope everything works out for both of you in the end. Who knows, maybe this opportunity is a blessing in disguise. I imagine the timing could have been better, but try to take a deep breath and deal with one thing at a time. It will all work out!

Hugs!

Thank you SO much Renee! I truly believe that everythign happens for a reason- and I'm trying not to stress so much because there is nothing I can do to change the outcome.

I'll keep you guys posted- I know we'll hear probably after the weekend. And I am the least patient person on the face of the planet wink.gif

Thank you guys so much!!! love.gif So an update: this afternoon FI got a call, and the prospective firm said that they're just waiting to get his background check through w/in the next few days, but if that's all good, then they will be making him an offer!!!!!!!! We're trying not to get too worked up until the actual offer is on the table, but it's some weight lifted off of our shoulders knowing that it's a pretty good possibility.

I'll let you guys know when we hear- and if it's good news, I may not be on the forum for a bit because I'll be trying to move our life halfway down the state!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
