Thanks Lisa and Mocha! We actually bought a Groupon for it about 6 months ago. The group on included a free consultation to ensure we're candidates so that is what I plan to book this weekend. I want to get it done as close to the wedding as possible. Did they tell you how long it lasts for?

I've read that using a sensitivity toothpaste leading up to your appointment can help with the pain.

I'm starting to feel overwhelmed with all the appointments coming up!

sounds like we got the same groupon Meggers. I was told at my consultation to start using the sensitivity toothpaste which will help. I wouldn't go too close to the wedding because they told me we could have sensitivity for up to 4weeks and I sure don't want that while i am drinking my slushy drinks at the resort. the color lasts about 3yrs they said.

I got my lanyards from a vendor on ebay named serendipity sales, I got the holders from another bride on here and did us the business cards on vista print.

GREAT NEWS! Okay, so FI & I got my wedding ring today! Yay! We'd been having trouble finding something to match my E-ring that wasn't, well, almost as expensive as the E-ring was. We thought it shouldn't be a big deal to find one around the $300 mark but all the ones that matched were around a grand. WELL, we decided to take a peak today and found a jewelery store in the mall that was having a V-day Sale and low and behold they a ring that matched mine PERFECTLY... in yellow gold :(! But she called and they were able to order one in. The originally price, $650, marked down to $299!! More than half price!! Yay! While we were paying I also noticed that they had gorgeous white gold princess cut diamond studs regular $399 for $190. ONE PAIR LEFT. FI smiled and said "Do you want them as a Valentines Day present?"... We've never really celebrated Valentines Day. Mostly because our "dating anniversary" is mid-March. We just went all out for that. But this year he's going to be gone all weekend at a concert out of the city with a friend (this March will be our 9 years dating. Craziness). I think he feels a little bad.

Also, we're putting an offer in for a house on Monday. It's a little smaller than I would have hoped but it's beautiful. The outside is a little quirky, but the inside is completely flipped. If anyone is interested:

The worst part is bidding wars are insane here in Winnipeg so it will probably go for closer to $250,000. Ugh.... Either way, I think we're going to offer around $230 and see what happens :)

Tris awesome deal on the ring, congrat!!!! Good luck with the bidding wars, stay strong and I am sure you will get what you want within your budget. Just know if it doesn't work out it was just not meant to be and the house of your dreams will still be out there waiting for you. fingers crossed!!!

Our ceremony is at 1:30 (which I'm not all that excited about, but it was our only option for the day, and the only day in the area of April that we wanted to do it, so we'll deal).

Lisa, I love the look for your FI.  I love how the aqua pops!

Tris, congrats on finding the ring & putting the offer on the place!  I couldn't imagine going through that at the same time as planning a wedding.

Tris - That's a great house you are bidding on. Looks like they've done lots of upgrades! I hope the luck at the jewelry store continues for the house offering!

Lisa - Love the suit!

Meggers - Mine is pretty strong since it's the one from the dentist that has custom fit molds. I will try out the sensitivity paste.

I am pretty excited myself. I found a glue for rhinestones at walmart, so now I can repair my tank and bikini bottom with the iron ons. I'll try to post a pic later on when they have a chance to dry.

Our ceremony is at 5.30pm and will last for about 30 mins then we are having a cocktail hour from 6-7pm whilst we go and have our photos done and then we are haivng our reception in 2 parts.  Dinner held outside at the Oceana terrace then after dinner we have fire dancers coming and then we move into the ballroom to party the night away to d.j ricardo!  There is no way i could have my wedding finish at 10.30pm at night.  Our guest are all flying from New-Zealand, Australia, England and Bahamas so we need to put on an amazing night for them!!

Ok so am having a stressful week!  Really busy at work and i emailed my photographer last tuesday because one of the brides on this website emailed me to ask me if i had heard from him because she had tried booking him and never heard back from him and she had sent more than one email.  I also have not heard back from him and it is stressing me out!  Any advice on what i should do?  I have already paid the deposit and only have 8 weeks till my wedding day, he has always been so quick at replying to my emails in the past!

Hey Lisa,

Do you have a template for your place cards? I need to do this as well but dont want to spend a lot of money but the resort just requires each guest be identified for what meal selection they chose. What are you doing for yours? Also what are you doing for your card guest book instructions? We also plan to do this type but not sure how to present it to our guests...Are you bringing post cards with you or buying them in Cancun?        Help!!!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
