Lisa, I was actually going to check there this weekend and see what they had in stock. I just don't get how parents can be supportive of selfish children. My parents rationalize her behavior by saying its just her being used to managing people. That's no excuse for being disrespectful. Erin, have fun with the treadmill. FI bought one a while back for our house and he loves it.

I have the same issue with my stepmother and my two sisters. She enables them and they are all the same when it comes to money, saving and getting their way. Get this (ok time for another rant). My stepmother who has been in my life since I was 3 years old and is the mother of my two sisters wanted to come to the wedding. I paid her deposit as she said she would pay me back in august when I was home, took a little longer but I got it and both my sisters and I agreed to chip in $200 each towards her trip as her christmas and birthday present and she would have to come up with the rest so between the deposit and our $600 all she had to come up with was $610 of her own money. She has had since July to save and hasn't saved a PENNY! and the deadline to pay is next wednesday. Her and my dad have been seperated over 10 years and he STILL pays her alimony and she works also! She always runs to him for stuff like this which is what I didn't want to happen but now she is going to ask him to cover the rest for her and take it off her alimony cheques each month. I feel like I am paying her to come to my wedding and it wasn't important enough for her to even try to save any money knowing she would have a backup plan! Now I am really dissapointed and don't even want her there but she is sharing a room with FI's 76 year old aunt who wouldn't want to stay in a room alone and there are no other options for her. This SUCKS! I feel so bad for my DAD. (Ok rant over)

Her daughters are turning out just like HER!

Thanks so much for the Dollarama hint! I've been looking for aloe too so I'll need to check it out.

Teira-Love the cover up and the dress. It looks so comfy

Kitty-Those are too darn cute, great job!

I see travel size aloe at dollorama all the time! Well this would work for Mocha but not Brandy or Erin.

Mocha I really wish our sisters would stop being so sellfish but you are right, we can't let them ruin our planning process or day!!!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days ladies...my activity spiked so much after joining this thread they thought I was a spammer and started moderating my posts!!!

I'm so nervous...I booked my boudoir session for March 15th!! I was originally not going to do one, because my FI's last girlfriend is an actual lingerie/ swim suit model. I made the mistake of googling her and decided right then no matter how much I worked out my bod wouldn't look like hers!

So I told my fi what I had done and he (being the sweetheart he is) proceeded to tell me that I'm the most sexy, beautiful girl he's been with and that he would love sexy pics because then I could see me the way he does!! I think he's full of you know what but I definitely need to do the shoot for him now!

Sooooo I'm booked in now and frantically hitting the gym! I also booked an appointment to get hair extensions put in. Any of you ladies planning on getting extensions?

Awww Lisa that sucks. We're going through a similar problem with FI's GM. We paid for the flights in October so that they would be booked before the prices went up. They said they would have the money for FI at Christmas but since he didn't ask they never paid him. And now one says he will only have half of the room cost for next week which is the deadline for full payment. I just wish they could have told us in advance so we could budget the cost. Or should have just told FI they couldn't afford the trip. I have a feeling the third guy in their room will just completely screw them and not go. Honesty and respect people. That's all we ask! On a funny note, FI was telling a friend how no one in his family had the courtesy to send back RSVPs. She works with his aunt and was told that a bunch of them all had rooms booked at hotels to attend our AHR. Great news except we haven't even planned anything or even suggested any dates. We were laughing that maybe they planned and paid for our AHR as a surprise! Not very likely!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
