mocha - glad to hear the shoot went well! :)  .. i heard that marry me song on The Bachelor the other day!!! hehe  we're still not sure what we're using yet. but last we talked we were thinking "Baby I Love Your Way" by Big Mountain because of the reggae vibe to it.

Erin - you're welcome! and thanks for checking my blog out! :)

As for FI's parents, deep down we're hoping that they'll offer to pay the majority of our AHR (since we're essentially having it because of them and their European idea that we are 'owed' gifts be so many people we don't know) lol .. we might just assign different people to take photos throughout the wedding day.

Yeah that's what we're thinking. I opened up a dedicated PhotoBucket account last week and did my photoshare cards (which i got from Vista Print in like 3 days!)  we're not super picky so we think it will work out ok. There's enough people going too that i'm sure we'll get some good shots.  I just said to FI that no matter what, I want someone in my room taking shots of me getting ready.. the moment when my mom laces me up is definitely a moment that i'm going to want documented on film you know?

Train perfomed that song on the Bachelor on monday night and i totally fell in love with it! Such a beautiful song!!

Also about you worrying about your FI coming home while you were doing your shoot i'm going to be the same way, so im thinking of renting a hotel room for the shoot but FI is a major gun collector and i somehow have to figure out how to sneak out with some of his guns for some pics. PS its totally awkward to call hotels to ask if they rent hotel rooms by the hour , i definitely feel like a prostitute embarrest.gif

Laura - The photoshare should work out well then!  I can understand why you are hoping FI's parents take the bulk of the AHR, that totally makes sense!

So, what is everyone working on this week for wedding stuff?  It's Wednesday, so I figured it was a good check in point!! For me, two things I really need to get squared away are our luggage tags (which I've decided to buy from a lady on Etsy), and figuring out which flowers we are adding to the girls bouquets so I can get those ordered!

Maybe I can actually finish my luggage tags this week! lol I've been totally lazy and haven't gotten them done yet.  Now that I have my pre-travel brochures, I probably should get the tags done so I can mail it all out when I get the loops.

Teira - I thought about renting a room, but not sure if they would appreciate the photographers bringing in all kinds of lighting equipment! Umm... no, we're not making porn, they are tasteful boudoir shots for my future husband. That and you never know about how a hotel will be decorated. Might be okay for a high end hotel, not so great for anywhere else.

Wedding Tasks for the Week:

Individual mini tiered cakes for shower need to be iced and decorated,

BM dress shopping on Friday,

Hostess gift for shower,

Dress for shower,

Pick up FI's suit,

Pick up FI's ring hopefully it will be ready,

Maybe find dress for FMIL,

Make final menu decisions for private event

and try to pack for 10 weeks in the Canadian prairies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
