Do you have the price for individual ones? Or smaller packages?

I have the one with the wedding packages. I believe they are $1300 US?

The same cost as my whole wedding at the resort.

Francelia said that you can buy pictures or the disc and not have to get the whole package. I hope this is right.

About 6 months ago photocaribe stopped replying to me as soon as I said I wasn't going to get the full wedding package.

I can fly my own photographer and let them stay a week for that price.

I wish I could afford it. I wanted to use a photographer from down in the DR who was half the price. I can't bring him on the resort............

Ya, it looks like those are the best packages :-/ Sorry. I thought i remembered the disc being on there but it's an add on not just a package. Maybe francelia can just add on to your wedding package to have them for more than 15 photos and just buy the disk... that's what I would really like to do too, I don't need all that extra stuff at all.

We got the Wedding boat. Its an outside boat. It cost the same as the private places there so I thought it would be a nice idea for the guests and us. We get to bring our own music so I liked the idea of it being private. I haven't even thought what will happen if it rains. I have to email her to see.

We have 26 going including us. Mostly family.
You won't have a problem if your friend is staying at the resort. They told me no photographers from the Bavaro area. I am pretty upset about that. I still don't know what I'm going to do about photos.

I don't have wedding favours yet. I like your idea! I was going to do something with starfish. I have about 30 but I'm not too sure.

I wanted Dreams as well! I'm kind of regretting it. When we booked we had a really good group rate. I thought it would be fair to go with that rate so our guests wouldn't have to pay as much.
A few people I know have been to this resort and loved it so I hope it all turns out.

I'm a bit nervous after reading the latest reveiw.... lol

I was wondering about the boat reception. How long is your reception party on the boat? Do you get to choose your menu? I hope it doesn't rain..

OMY! Thanks for the review!!!! It's FULL of helpful information!

I'm getting married at the Caribe Club Princess...but the ceremony will take place at the gazebo @ the Bavaro Princess, and yes--Francelia is my WC as well.

I actually stayed at the Bavaro Princess in Nov 2009----we were suddenly switched to this resort after the Caribe closed suddenly for emergency maintenance. This was supposed to be a 4 (apple) resort, and I was EVERYTHING but impressed. I'll let you read my review on trip advisor for yourself....there was ALOT of construction going on, which may have been the reason for my discomfort (mice & roaches). I eventually had to completely relocate to the Ocean Blue for the remainder of my stay.

I too orginally was going to purchase the princess package---but my guest list has outgrown that package! LOL

I'm just going to buy the disc if its not too much.

The boat reception is 3 hours. We are doing dinner.

You can pick an option that is 2 hours/cocktail hour as well.

The lady I talk to is Flori. She is really nice and helpful.

If you want I can send you the info if you are intersted. I emailed her today asking what happens if it rains.

I have seen a few girls on here that have gone on the boat and loved it!

I know someone who just went to the resort and loved it. They said it was updated in alot of areas. Maybe that was why all the construction was going on?

I hope so anyways! haha

I didn't have my hair done at the salon. I was lucky enough to have a friend who did all the hair and make up for the bridal party. If you were going to use the salon, i would just be sure to bring a clear printed picture of what you want.

The flowers that were provided by the resort were not really what I expected. But then again i wasn't planning on using them anyways! The princess package includes a bouquet for the bride and a boutinier for the groom. I asked for a simple bouquet with gerber daisies. It had gerbers, but was not simple. As well it costs $50 us per additional bouquet. So it would have been $150US for all my bridesmaids. I actually went to michael's craft store and made all four bouquets for around $100 and they were gorgeous! Everyone made comments about them and it was pretty simple. The only issue I had with this was packing. I bought a box and some packing peanuts, when i got to the airport they were worried because it was too LIGHT. So if you can carry it on it would be better. All my bridesmaids were flying from difference airports or I would have asked them to carry their own on.

I wasn't offered a colour choice for the chair covers but I am sure if you asked about it they could provide you with a few options. She told us ours would be white, and that was fine with us. So ask ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

I've decided to buy some bouquet of flowers instead of getting it from the resort.

Did you get your make up done @ the salon?

thanks a bunch!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
