    Hi Everyone!

I'm trying to figure out where to have my welcome reception / cocktail party. I want to do something pretty casual. I was either thinking of finding a restaurant that is beachfront and reserving an area on the sand and having buckets of beer and tacos. Or, doing something at a fun bar/grill type place that maybe has pool tables or something, and having the same thing, tacos and buckets of beer.

Do you guys have any ideas? I have already contacted El Dorado...they seem to have a nice vibe, but wasn't sure about he food - I told them my idea, but they presented me with a taco buffet of shrimp, chicken and beef fajitas. Too me that even seems too formal...I was thinking paper plates of "street tacos" and lots of chips and salsa to go around.

    Any thoughts on places

On 05.10.10 I will walk down this aisle

I love where you are getting married - so pretty! Have you looked at Casa Isabel? Its located up in the hills and they have a casual bar with a view. There is also Hacienda De Alemana, casual hotel restaurant that has a garden feel. I am having my welcome dinner at Daiquiri Dicks, thats also another option.
So far 68 RSVP's and 56 people are booked to stay at the resort!

I'm getting married in Cabo, we are doing our welcome dinner at one of the swim up bars in the hotel. When we went last year it was our favorite place to eat so we thought we would share that with our guests. And kina felt it would be a little original instead of doing a fancy dinner. I like the idea you had with the bucket of beer and tacos. sounds very fun. Good luck with your search

We are doing appetizers and cocktails on the beach at Epoca for ours. One of our appetizers is chips, salsa, and guacamole. We have will also shrimp, ribs, taquitos and meat filled potatoes. We are going on the recommendation of The Dazzling Details and haven't actually been to this restaurant. It had good reviews and they haven't led me wrong on any other recommendations. Kristen has all the pricing and menu information that she got recently for me.
