So, point being you can definitely get what you want without spending a ton. Good luck deciding on your invites, I'm sure they'll be fabulous!

Thanks girls! Not trying to hijack this thread, but here's the link to the thread I posted with them in case anyone wants more info.

Karen,

I just feel that I am not much of a DIY girl. I'm gearing myself up for a few projects...but don't think I have it in me to deal with the invites!! Pathetic huh? LOL Anyway...I just love your invites and if they wound up costing you around $4 per with some imput by you..all the better.

I also found these on Martha Stewart today, paper planes, very cute for save the dates, not sure about full invitations. Might make good thank you notes. But maybe small paper planes could be attached to some sort of DIY package kit you'd get at Michael's to make them more unique?

Ashlynn039 - photographer battle was won a few ways... first I showed him the different between the good, the bad and the ugly...pointed out color correction and that they do more than just what you se that day.... and explained the good ones let you have the negatives, something the resort doesn't give you, they charge even more. Then I got a ton of quotes from here in TO and in Mexico so he could work out an average, he also worked on the side asking friends what they paid. In the end he came around to the fact that a photographer is expensive.

that's a great idea. but i'm so fixated on the idea of getting these passport invites. I already know the people who I invite will be over the top impressed. lol

This is an excellent idea! I so wish I thought to do this. We weren't sure what to do but ended up making our own invites (I'm a graphic designer) using supplies from Cardsandpockets.com. The cost ended up being about $3 per invite! But the weird thing is... we already know who's coming and who's not... so we're basically sending invites out as a formality. And only to those that are coming.. I know... makes no sense. But we're also sending to a few key people that can't make it... just so they know they're still thought of and appreciated. I really like your idea of sending the fun 'thank you' after people have booked... awesome!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
