Other than Flowers and Parasols what other things can a Wedding party carry?

Recommended Posts

This is just an idea in my head but maybe they could carry little pales with flower petals and drop them as the flowers girl would. Then you would have an aisle with lots of flowers and you could use the pales as your centerpieces and put candels or something in there!

Kathy reminded me, but my sister made my bouquet for my AHR from a bouquet at Costco. We bought them the day before and she just picked a few of the nicer ones, trimmed the ends and wrapped ribbon around them. They were actually nicer then what I had at the resort. So that would def be a cheap option, and if you are doing all one flower, it doesn't even really take any skill to be able to put them together.

What about those little pomander ball things, similar to what a flower girl would carry?

I've seen some DIY sites that make them with silk flowers or paper/tissue:

DIY - Pomander Ball - SHARISOSWEET's Black Wedding by Color Blog

DIY - Crepe Paper Pomander Balls - MISSTIFF's Black Wedding by Color Blog

Hmmm...now I've just given myself another DIY project! lol

btw, I think you can also purchase the bigger ones at Wal-Mart

I worked in a floral shop so I have actually dont flowers before but I dont want to add any more DIY but I think I will be on this one.

I was thinking about Sams and Costco today. They actually have really nice flowers!

I helped do a wedding last year that they got flowers from Sams!

I wonder if they girls would do this.....I like re-using things for the head table.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
