I am in York!!! I work at the Hospital. What flowers are you going with? Those of you that are bringing the clay flower arrangements, did they allow you to design what you want or do you have to pick current designs? Those doing fresh flowers....did you have to stick to your package or could you pick what you want? I suppose it depends to on what they have available on the island. Those of you bringing your flowers, how are you getting them there? One more question...those of you who are going to eat at one of the restaurants ....are you hoping to just get seating all together or did Beaches help arrange this for you?

Hey Michele. We haven't decided if we are going to do a private reception or just have the dinner @ one of the restaurants. I am leaning towards private and since we don't have a ton of people going it shouldn't be too expensive. I have been looking at clay flowers from FentonFloral on Etsy but not sure if that is what I am going to get yet. They are beautiful but I am having reservations about getting all the stuff there so I may just use the real flowers they have available at the resort for that reason. Monica was supposed to send me the extras book that they revised once it is out but I haven't received it yet from her.

HI Kristin,
Up until today, we have been doing most of the work thru our travel agent, but I am going to have a conference call with Monica & my mother on friday. They are coming out with a buffet type reception, which offers more to the menu than the original sit down menu. I am still undecided about the themes. I wanted to be done by now, but I have been so indecisive sad.gif I think that $500 a table is a bit much and I dont like that you cant change anything. I will have a better idea on what we are going to go with after Friday..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
