I just sent my weigh in...I GAINED a bunch this week!!! I think I'm probably back to my starting weight. Yuck!

I did get to go to Jamaica this past weekend for a friend's wedding. Guess I indulged a little TOO much!

Reading through the past couple of weeks of posts is really getting me motivated. I borrowed 30 Day Shred from a girl at work and keep meaning to get started on it. I'm also "training" to run (more like jog) a half-marathon in May. I'm really going to try to do better this week.

So...I survived hot yoga!!! HOLY FACK!!! Why didn't someone tell me I was going to feel like death!!!?? I barely made it out of there with my stomach contents in tact. Crap! It was so hard!! I can't even say I felt great afterwards though...it seriously did something funky with my stomach. But - I will not be discouraged! I paid for a 2 week pass & plan to use it at least a couple more times! wink.gif But seriously, how the fack do you start to drip sweat halfway through the FIRST breathing exercise!!? LOL Crazy - I could have rung (ringed, rang...lol) sweat out of my tank top by the end of it...gross!

Manders, believe it or not, it does get easier after the first few classes. The first few classes are hell but you eventually adjust. Though sometimes it really does depend on how you feel that day. I actually had to walk out of a class once and nearly passed out. They tell you not to leave the room no matter what but it was either get out or pass out for me that day. No idea why, I had been going for weeks. Congrats on your first class!

Manders - It definitely gets better! I was not convinced my first time either and it took until the 3rd time to enjoy it (and make it through each posture without breaks.) I think the biggest thing I learned was remembering to breathe and trying to always remember the breathe in/out through the nose. Best of luck! :)

Thanks ladies! It is pretty pricey, so I dont' think it's something I'm going to keep up with anyway...but it was definitely nice to try it! I think I'm going to try & convince DH to go with me next time! wink.gif

Manders- first of all, you reminded me of B when you did the ring rang rung thing.. lol since he is French and screws up his verb tenses sometimes, this is what he does when he isn't sure which tense is right! so cute :)

 

I am going to go to hot yoga next week I think! B is trying to gain weight, so do you all think it is a good idea for him to go? I know, what a sin right? trying to gain weight rant.gif hahaha anyway!

lol P.S. LeAnne, there are some people at the gym you wouldn't WANT to see with no pants on!

 

oh and Manders, as I wrote that, I thought if Linds and her short-lived "pants on the ground" obsession! rofl.gif
