You could phone around and get quotes for alterations. I use someone north of Ave. & Lawrence. I haven't used her for a wedding dress, but am using her for my bridesmaid dress and have used her for lots of clothes/coats. Not sure if that's convenient for you though... she's good and pretty cheap. I think she just calls it Rita's Alterations.

Not sure if it helps you, but I have a great seamstress in Brampton. I have been using her services for basics like pant hems, and my FI shirts. She has also done an amazing job on a couple of bridemaid dresses for me in the past year. She does wedding dresses as well. I will be taking my wedding dress there shortly...just have to find the time (mind you my wedding is in January, so I still have some time) The name is Qobolla Bridal Seamstress. They have a website, with some basic pricing. She works out of her home with her sister, and they are both wonderful people to deal with. Good luck.

Any brides in Toronto or the GTA been to a good seamstress recently?  I live downtown in the West-end and have yet to find a great seamstress.  I need to get my wedding dress altered and I'd love to hear your recommendations.

If you drive, I would say Club 10 Tailors. My family and I have been using them for years!  They can be pricey sometimes on thing but they do amazing work. So far this is the only place I keep going back to when I have expensive clothing to be altered.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
