I agree I would look into hotels and see what you like. AI's can be expensive, however smaller hotels combined with paying for food can add up, especially in Negril. I have been to Jamaica about a dozen times. I have done the AI, villas and small hotels. Try and figure out the type of setting you want and go from there. Personally, I LOVE Ocho Rios. It's beautiful, great ppl, not too touristy and great places to go out to! Good luck!!

I want a beautiful beach and pool for guests. But, I don't want to get married on the beach. I really do not want sand on my dress, which is why I Negril (the Cliffs) was appealing.

Anyway, most will be traveling from the east coast.

      Any suggestions?
We are getting married at Beaches Negril (its an AI as are many places in Jamaica) and it is on a beautiful 7mi stretch of sand. Many places (east coast) have direct flights into Montego Bay... we are not getting married on the beach, but in a gazebo overlooking the beach (I am short and want my high heels :0)

Happy planning, this site is very helpful!!

Welcome and congratulations!! Just keep in mind that most resorts have multiple venues for weddings. Some have chapels, gazebos and other areas other than the beach for weddings.

Hi Anthony and welcome to the forum!! I n my experience, Mexico is beautiful and very reasonable in pricing, even the AI. St. Thomas is also great and easy for your guests as well as the Bahamas :) Best wishes in all of your planning.

Welcome to the forum. I am also doing Mexico because of the reasonable cost. As everyone said most resorts have different ceremony locations so don't get discouraged. Good luck planning!
