I just sent out our STD's. The invites are going to go out sometime around Feb. I want to send out a packet sometime between the STD & invite that includes detailed info about hotel & air, along with this really cool brochure I had Dreams send me about the hotel. Do you think it will overwhelm my guests with all this infohuh.gif??

I should mention it's just the Dreams brochure, along with a brochure I am making on my own. So it's only these two things I am sending.

I think you can go either way. I'd probably only send it to the people that are going, have expressed an interest in going or those you know are on the fence about it. Most of the people I'm inviting are not going to actually go, so it wouldn't make sense for me to send them more information.

If you're using a travel agent who can tell you when your guests book, I think that it would be very cool to send the info packets out right after ppl confirm.

This obviously wouldn't be effective if your goal is to motivate people to book but I think it would be a really nice gesture to those that will be joining you on your big day. PLUS, you wouldn't have to waste the paper and postage by sending info out to ppl who are likely to just throw it away.

Do you have a website? I would like info there, then guest can take away what they want without having paper laying around and you can save yourself some postage! Plus you can update the website with changes whenever you need to and get an tentative RSVP.

Just a suggestion...

GOOD LUCK!

Using a website is the best way to go as getting the most information our to your guests. You can update it and they can check it often. I have my website set-up with an entire section about the Dreams Tulum resort with all the detailed information on it.

Websites are great, or you could wait and send the brochures with the invite - We got a brochure personalized for our guests and we put that in the invite. But I am also sending out reminder to book (for those who have not responded) and Get ready for Mexico info when I would have sent out invites since I sent out the invites early

I agree with SuperKate. Only send them to guests you know are going.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
