I have seen it done both ways!  Some people pay for all the guests to go as a "Thank you for coming" type of thing and others just arrange it and each guest who would like to come pays their own way.  Another option that one of the tour operators suggested was to pay for part of each guests excursion - so instead of it costing each guests $50, you pay $30 per guest so it only costs them $20 each.  This way they don't have to go if they don't want to, but they get a really cheap excursion if they decide to go.

My parents were going to pay for all the guests to do an excursion as a replacement for hosting the rehearsal dinner - which is already paid for because we are at an all-inclusive!  So in our info booklet, we are putting that the excursion is compliments of my parents.

Thanks for all the info! I am staying at the Hard Rock and trying to determine when to plan the snorkel trip for. Does anyone know how far the La Barcaza is from that area? Also trying to decide whether or not to pay for it for my guests. I am hoping that I can the unlimited functions at my resport by meeting the minimum rooms number and then hopefully I can spring for paying for everyone. We are also trying to do a dinner on the beach as a welcome dinner with entertainment...Can't decide if I'd rather mak ethe dinner a little less entertaining and go for a fun day snorkeling or if my guests would prefer to stay on ground and get flamenco lessons and music at the dinner on the beach...thoughts?

ok ladies DO NOT do the Tropical Storm tours!! They are not what is advertised...

Basically there is NO private island you go to to have a beach party, AND the floating bar is a man in the water with a dang cooler!!! It was NOT worth the money, so please do not even waste your time.

PM me if you have additional questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
