Hello everyone! I just confirmed my wedding date today! It's going to be January 25th, 2012! Im so excited!

we are planning on renting the Dolce Vita Restaurant as we may have up to 100 people.

Tris, I see that you said its about $2500 to rent it for the night? Where did you get this price?

I was only told that it was included in the wedding package we choose + $15 per person / hr for the bar.

shimmer - your dinner is included in the wedding package but it's $2500 to close off the restaurant for the night for a private reception. With the included dinner it's semi-private, meaning there will still be other people in the restaurant... for $2500 (Bev gave me this price) the restaurant is all yours all night and you can have your dance there, etc. We were going to do this, but since we have less people coming then we originally planned for, it seemed unnecessary. For a larger group I think it's really worth the money.

I am a newbie to this!!  Planning to get married the week of Jan 16-23, 2012, can anyone give me Beverley's email addy so I can try to get in contact with her for dates available that week?  What is your best advice on time of day getting married at that time of year? Also, what kind of rates are you getting for the resort, we are flying out of calgary and our TA is giving us a quote of $1769 p/p taxes in?  What do you suggest to try and get a better rate?

thanks a byunch for the help any of you brides can give me!  This site is awesome!!

Welcome ahehr! Bev isnt working there anymore, the wedding coordinator now is Chandlyn, her email is:  [email protected]
Get in contact with her soon, I know that the dates and times for weddings are getting filled up fast for January, because there are a few brides on here who are getting married iat the hotel in January. Popular month it seems!!

My all inclusive rate out of Calgary was $1666 including taxes and everything. But I am traveling in August. We got that rate back in October.

Happy planning!!

Hi and welcome!  We are getting married the week before you are wanting to get married.  We will be there January 9-16, 2012.  When I booked my date I found it easier to just call down there and ask what dates were available and times on certain dates and then that way it wasn't back and forth emails and waiting for those emails.  We chose to get married at 3pm as sun sets about 550pm.  We were originally going to get married at 4pm but pushed it to 3pm as we thought then that way we wouldn't be to rushed with everything.  We are flying out of Calgary at the rate we booked with is $1830pp tax included so the rate you got is pretty similar.  Our TA told us it was a really good price, especially for January as thats considered high season.  What company is that quote for?  We are going with Transat and we also chose them as every 16th person goes free.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
