Avi that is so exciting!!!!! Everything is going to go great:) Where in the resort are you having the wedding? Do you know if the resort has a chuppah there? We are thinking of possibly doing our civil ceremony there the day before our wedding.

We're hoping to use DJ Doremixx, for hair and make-up Fernando Fuentes, Photography by Aki Demi.  We also want to use a cigar roller, but no name yet.  Also a mariachi band-no name yet.  Set up is being done by Planner 1 Events.  No video.  Not sure what else there is.

Thank you so much for all your beautiful wishes!!

Getting bit nervous but is ok. I guess is part of it.

My wedding is for 120 people. I'm doing the Mikva/tevilah (Jewish ritual for the bride) and my bridal shower. and the civil ceremony in Cancun but if you can do it at the resort go for it!

The logistic has been difficult b/c 70 of the people are coming from Mex city and Cali.

The Ceremony is by the pier, and the party at the salon. Is so hummed at night that I just cant do it outdoors.

I'm going to list all my providers

I'm not sure about aki photographer, My budget in everything was medium and I found that either where very expensive or medium low with prices. I research as much as I could a medium photographer, I can send pics after the wedding and lets see if you guys like it. he does photo and video.

He is Martin Perez :http://fotoyvideodebodascancun.com/

The flower are going to be done By Hector Suarez: http://eventoseuforia.com/  I'm also renting the Chupah with him, His Chupa is transparent acrylic and I loved that is see thru. He works on your budget. Plan how much you can spend, what do you like and call him His cel:011 52 1 998 8503011 tell him I send you! My name is Avi.

I'm renting Chairs and table cloth from the direct provider that rents to all wedding planners and wedding rental! this is huge because this is the biggest secret in Cancun, this people not always have everything and they rent it from another source. This lady makes the table cloth and owns the Chairs. Her name is Ms Gama http://www.gamanteles.com/   re

Rent with her, because everyone will rent to her, BTW she just got new chairs!! and she is super sweet and she is a pioneer and the business.

I want you guys to understand that that Cancun is a relative new city, so all this providers rent each other!! skip it and go straight to the direct source. Must of this wedding planners just want your money and dint care about the event. The only one I can say they actually had the intention of really helping is http://www.grupomontblanc.com/  her name is Karen.I'm not doing anything with her, but she guided me a bit.

My hair and make up I'm doing with David Gracia 011 52 998 914-0482 .

DJ http://www.manniacancun.com.mx/Site/Index.html  (make sure you make your list of plays and do not play) I made a really good one! if you want it.

I know Luis Torres have a really good cigar roller!

I have a guy I'm using as a driver to bring and drop people from the airport. Is my friend driver from 7 years, really nice decent guy. and hi is charging $30 to the resort instead of $50. So what I'm doing I have gave him the list of people they arrival schedule and he is taking small party's, like singles and couples. Big family's wont fit in his car. I can provide is email.

What else? Bring lots of mosquito repellent!.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Good luck!

It sounds like we're having similar vendors.  I'm also using Doremixx and Fernando Fuentes.  Let me know who you find or is recommeded to you for the mariachi--we really want this for our cocktail hour!

Is Planner 1 doing all of your flowers too?  I got quotes from Vanessa Jaimes and from Eupohoria for flowers.  I sent my flower 'inspiration' photos to Allibe so that she could forward it to Planner 1...haven't heard back from them yet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
