Okay, I'm no Juan Carlos and I know it won't be nearly as nice, but I want to create my own wedding slideshow WITH music? I want to be able to upload it or post it to a website so that my family out of town can view it? If anyone knows of software, etc. that they could recommend, I'd really appreciate it :-)feedback.gif Thanks guys!

I actually bought software online but it can't be uploaded even though it reads you can. Everytime I try to send it either in a zipped file or other, the recipents tell me they can't open it...argh! I wish I had whatever Juan Carlos uses! I have already used a slideshow that's viewable on 'myspace' but you can't include your own music to the slideshow portion. If I can get it to work, I'll definitely post it here.

Hey Erika,

Mark and I had our AHR on Sunday and wanted to show our slideshow and of course we do not own a mac which is what photographers use nowadays so the night before we spent 3/4 hours putting together a powerpoint presentation with about 100 slides. If you have a friend that owns a mac, ask them if you could borrow it cause it is soooo easy on a mac! Mark and I could not cue our song to end with the slideshow and did not have nice fade out transitions but on a mac-it is amazing! Did Juan send you images in a jpeg?

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately everyone I know has windows :-(.

I didn't use Juan, my WC, Baja Weddings, had me with Francisco Estrada. He took AMAZING pictures as well but I never thought of asking him to do a slideshow. I have all the negatives burned to a disk that he gave me along with all my photos so I thought I'd put together my own. Oh well, I might just have to settle for burning it onto a CD and mailling it out if I can't find software....or maybe I'll run into someone with a mac down the road. Thanks for the advice though!

I am using this software...DVD Photo Slideshow Professional 7.61 - Free Download DVD Photo Slideshow Professional by ANVSOFT Inc.

I used the demo version at first and then really liked it so I bought the package ($60). You just drag the photos down and time the music. The trial version only lets you do like 30 photos then the last side says thanks for using the trial. From what I can remember we can make it into an MP4 or something like that and e-mail it. You may also be able to have photobucket.com host it. It is worth a shot since you can try it for free...good luck!

Thanks Sarah and Stephanie! I will try photobucket and see what happens. I paid $30 for ANVSOFT's 'slideshow' and it worked only 2 times...but now it stopped working. The tech support told me to uninstall and reinstall, still nothing :-(. I might have to try the DVD photo slideshow though! Thanks guys!

  • 2 weeks later...

My photos and the slideshow are quite important to me...as I am a photographer and although there are many softwares to make a slideshows for anybody to use (the ones below are quite easy):

Microsoft Photostory Microsoft Photo Story 3 for Windows: make show-n-tell cool again

Picasa (is free) Picasa

Jet Photo: JetPhoto - digital photo organizing, creating, sharing and publishing software

Adobe Photoshop Elements : Adobe - Adobe Photoshop Elements for Windows

Windows Movie Maker 2 (free): Windows Movie Maker - Reviews and free downloads at Download.com

and Microsoft Powerpoint as already suggested

I use what most professional photographers use to create professional slideshows:Photodex - Photo Slide Show and Presentation Software - Create Photo DVD Slide Shows.....I wouldn't recommend buying it for one slideshow

...but the other ones above should work fine and are not that complicated (depending on your computer skills)..

Good Luck

Trista

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
