  1. Thanks Sarah and Stephanie! I will try photobucket and see what happens. I paid $30 for ANVSOFT's 'slideshow' and it worked only 2 times...but now it stopped working. The tech support told me to uninstall and reinstall, still nothing :-(. I might have to try the DVD photo slideshow though! Thanks guys!
  2. Thanks for the advice, unfortunately everyone I know has windows :-(. I didn't use Juan, my WC, Baja Weddings, had me with Francisco Estrada. He took AMAZING pictures as well but I never thought of asking him to do a slideshow. I have all the negatives burned to a disk that he gave me along with all my photos so I thought I'd put together my own. Oh well, I might just have to settle for burning it onto a CD and mailling it out if I can't find software....or maybe I'll run into someone with a mac down the road. Thanks for the advice though!
  3. Absolutely amazing! I want my own slideshow!!
  4. I actually bought software online but it can't be uploaded even though it reads you can. Everytime I try to send it either in a zipped file or other, the recipents tell me they can't open it...argh! I wish I had whatever Juan Carlos uses! I have already used a slideshow that's viewable on 'myspace' but you can't include your own music to the slideshow portion. If I can get it to work, I'll definitely post it here.
  5. Okay, I'm no Juan Carlos and I know it won't be nearly as nice, but I want to create my own wedding slideshow WITH music? I want to be able to upload it or post it to a website so that my family out of town can view it? If anyone knows of software, etc. that they could recommend, I'd really appreciate it :-) Thanks guys!
  6. Thanks for all the advice ladies! I thought about just leaving it alone. Then I read a lot about what not to do with your dress. The advice I saw was against NOT having it cleaned. I saw things that read, if you leave it, there are always 'unseen' stains (sweat, etc) that can take up to 6+ months to show and then will yellow and permanantly stain the dress. The other I saw is against leaving it hanging. I read to fold or roll it up and put in in a clean white sheet. Hanging is supposedly for short term when travelling and supposedly hanging long term will stretch the fabric out. Last I saw is to never leave it in a garment bag or plastic long term. The plastic apparently causes oxidation and will grey and yellow the fabric also. I don't want any of that to happen! Oh well, my husband keeps looking at me funny. I think he is wondering what it all matters...not like it's going to be worn again Well, I don't know about you guys, but I don't have $400+ to spend right after the wedding. I opted to take it out of the bridal hanging bag last night...folded it up into a white sheet and put in in my guest bedroom so it is undisturbed. Thanks for all the feedback though!
  7. We somewhat got in the water and the bottom of my dress is covered with stains from the sand and water, etc. You can kinda tell in my picture. Has anyone had a chance to get their dress cleaned/preserved? I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I've been checking online and see prices and heard quotes after calling from $225-$700. I was wondering what to expect to spend after a destination wedding with more than your usual wine, etc. stains. My hubby actually likes it, he thinks it added 'character' to the dress. But I don't want it to hurt the fabric.
  8. Hello! I used Baja Weddings. We just got back from our wedding on June 12. We had Jo Ann with Baja. She was excellent. Everything actually came out even better than what we had planned. Our photographer was AMAZING! Baja had us with Francisco Estrada. He is wonderful. Everyone has commented on our pictures. He has a website that I had questioned Jo Ann on. She told me his website did NOT do him justice and she was absolutely right. Our flowers, dinner and cake were wonderful. I highly recommend Baja. Feel free to e-mail with any questions. Erika
  9. Anyone been to or have reviews for Pitahayas Restaurant at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar? My WC recommended that's where we go so we have reservations there for after our wedding? Any thoughts or help would be apprecited!
  10. Hi Brandy- We are getting married June 12 at 7 pm. I was told the sun will set at about 8...so right after the ceremony, we have enough time for pics right into sunset.
  11. Thanks everybody! Everyone is really nice on this board!

I'll update if I get anything positive back soon!

  14. Cool, I'm going to check it out right now. Thank you so much!!
  15. My name is Erika and my fiance is Walter. We are getting married June 12 (25 days!) on Pedregal Beach. We are using Baja Weddings (Jo Ann has been great!) and I'm having my hair/make-up done by Suzanne Morel. Right now we are in crisis mode waiting for passports! I contacted my senator and congressman yesterday, no response. Passport services can only show it as 'processing' and advised hopefully it will be here on time or I'll have to get to Houston (not close!) with Walter and hope we get one at the last minute! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :-)
