ANY 2010 PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES out there?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I just went on my site inspection at the Royal resort/ Gran Porto resort in playa del carmen. We loved it. Right on the water and walking distance to the amazing town with restaurants/clubs/bars. We set the date for Nov 6 2010 at the royal! Was seeing if anyone knew of a great website for save the dates (beach theme) and any other advice thanks! Im the only one of my friends engaged and noone is helping me !!

Hi Beth! Congrats on setting your date!!!! Oh I'm so jealous you got to go on a site visit there! I bet it was beautiful! I'm getting married at the Royal on 6/5/10! We picked it after all the wonderful things I've found on this site and heard from others about it. I really think its the best location in Playa. Are you doing the beach or gazebo? Do you have any pics from your visit?

Here's the link to all the Royal/Gran Porto brides:

You should check out www.vistaprint.com for the STDs, invites, etc. They have promos going on all the time for free stuff so you only end up paying shipping. You can use their templates or upload your own. Very cool! Actually, you can click this link for the Free stuff. They always have the links on this site for the vistaprint promos:

Best Deal: VistaPrint Coupons, VistaPrint Coupon Code and Vista Print Coupon

They have 10 free invitations or you can get 100 postcards for free and use those as STDs/invitations. I'm doing the postcards b/c I'm inviting more than 10ppl.

Hope that helps! rolleyes.gif

Hi Ladies,

I too am getting married at the Royal in PDC March 31st 2010. Congrats to both of you. We are doing the gazebo for the cermony and then beach for reception. We did our save the dates at Costco just using there photo cards. it was much cheaper this way and they actually turned out cute. We got our invites from Wedding paper divas and I used a palm tree invite that turned out beautiful. Not sure for advice I am getting nervous about the planning, but ancy and wanting to go soon!!

Hi Beth!

I'm getting married on May 5 2010 at the Royal PDC. I've been seraching for as much info as possible and I have a few attachments another lady sent me that includes choices on flowers, legal requirements etc. If you send me your email I can forward it to you. I'm wondering how pictures work (I'm getting married at 5pm in the Gazebo) and then I believe we're having our cocktail hour at the Gazebo as well, but how long do pictures take before our reception? I'm not sure what time we will have our garden reception. It all seems a bit unclear to me and they said I won't have a wedding planner until much closer to the date....Also, what do we do for music, should I be downloading? Any help would be appreciated!!

I'm a 2011 PDC bride, although am beginning planning so early it feels like it's in 2010! We are looking at having the Royal as our hotel as well. Have you spoken much to their planners? I would love to hear some of the arrangements you make with them.

Hi Jacinda,

I was wondering if you could email me the attachments that you have from the Royal. I am in the process of trying to book my wedding there and any information you have would be appreciated. Thanks!

A lounge on the beach sounds amazing. Do you happen to know where I can see that photo? Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
