hey ladies... anyone know if there are different chair options for the ceremony/reception/tableclothes. my WC isnt emailing me back. suprise supirse. i have 80 people booked already for nov and its screaming me because all the weddings i see online are smaller wedding. Having my wedding in the royal gazebo with everyone sitting on the outside of it and the wedding infront of the gazebo because my WC told me it was the biggest part of the beach and most private. we invited 200+ people and apparently everyone wants a vacation!!

hello ladies. im so bad at replying on this blogs. So i sent my save the date and i believe my family went alittle to crazy and we invited 270 people and so far 50 people booked.for nov.. getting nervous the hotel wont be able to hold that many people on the beach!! I have been working with Carole and has responded well to me and my fiance. But the rates she has given me the internet prices beat which is bothering me a lot anyone else having this problem?

hey girlies so i called the resort today and found out that they said the construction will be for about another 10 days... so i felt alittle beetter but who knows. I am having the beef/salmon and vegetarian(pasta) option for my guests putting it in with the reply cards for the invitations so everyone has a choice. Having one choice of beef is just not what we want to do.. We tasted everything and it was all very good. I was impressed. Im doing ivan gomez and since we booked him before the prices changed we will be paying the same amount as before. We are doing to ult luxary package and just sent my save the dates out and we invited 300 people soo we might be in trouble haha

I was just on Trip advisor and I heard that the beach at the Gran Porto is under construction and is closed. Does anyone know about this or have any more information and when the construction will be done

hey ladies. I know i cant believe i found a dress so quickly. I went to 2 places and though i wanted a maggie sottero one shoulder dress called summer but when i tried it on i just couldnt imagine myself on the beach it was just to heavy. I got a private designer from bridal reflection Christine Anthony(any brides from ny area go there!) Ill try to put on some pics soon. When people say they just know i didnt believe them but when you see yourself in the dress you just get this feeling like this is the one and it feels amazing!! Sendign out save the dates after the holidays and trying to make a brochures/things to do list. anyone have a good idea on how to do this? i didnt get a TA and figured WC can help with booking the rooms and then flights the guests can do on their own. do you put all this info with the save the dates? getting nervous im going to miss something.

Hey ladies! I was planning to have our reception at the pelicanos restaurant for the sit down dinner and then have to dance floor right in front on the beach. Did anyone see that set up while they visited? Also, does anyone have a resort info/tourist things to do sheet to send with the save the dates?

Hey Ladies... so about this food options. When i went down for my taste testing and met with Michelle Madrid and we tried 3 apps/3 entrees/3 desserts. I highly suggest not eating before! Michelle told me that we would have the ultimate luxary and have 3 choices for an app/entree and dessert. I decided to not go with the soup and added a veg entree instead. I still think its kind of crap that we paid 50 bucks each for the tasting when its an all inclusive place anyway while we were there....highly recommend salmon/beef filet!

Hello, I just went on my site inspection at the Royal resort/ Gran Porto resort in playa del carmen. We loved it. Right on the water and walking distance to the amazing town with restaurants/clubs/bars. We set the date for Nov 6 2010 at the royal! Was seeing if anyone knew of a great website for save the dates (beach theme) and any other advice thanks! Im the only one of my friends engaged and noone is helping me !! Beth Lynch

Hello everyone. I recently got engaged and my fiance and I are planning to go to Playa Del Carmen for our wedding!! We are going down to mexico the end of august to see the Royal resort which is where we would be having the wedding. Has anyone ever been there??
