Wedding Gift Bag Ideas

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am looking for some ideas! My fiancé and I are planning our wedding at Dreams Palm Beach Sept 4, 2010. I know it seems kind of early but I am trying to get started now on some of the little things so I am not losing my mind the last month or two before we leave. One of the things I really want to do is a nice welcome gift bag to have in my guests†rooms when they arrive. I have come up with a few ideas but I just don't know how much I should do, and how big to make them. I have read a few things that say if you bring too much with you, you will have to pay an import fee! I have thought about doing an embroidered beach bag w/each couples initials, and maybe an embroidered beach towel for each person as well. I have also thought about filling the bag with items such at sunscreen, a fan, hand sanitizer, Advil, a waterproof camera, some personalized bottles of water, some munchies or snacks, a personalized coozy and maybe a picture frame or small photo album. Iâ€m not sure how much is too much, but we do want everyone to know how much we appreciate them taking the time so come be part of our day. Any advice or other suggestions of other things to do or add would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in Advance and Happy Planning!

We are doing a beach wedding in Sy Lucia on May 29, 2010 but have already bought everything for the OOT bags... I wanted to get everything at the end of the summer to find the good sales.. We are including a beach bag (from Oriental Trading), underwater camera (from Sams), beach towel (on clearance from Academy), blow-up beach ball (from Oriental Trading), sunscreen, aloe vera lotion, & sunscreen chapstick (all from Dollar Store), plastic spray bottle (from Wal-Mart)... I am also including an information packet about the island and of the wedding itinerary... we are staying at an AI resort so we decided against water and food in the bags... Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
