Hey guys! Since you have all been so helpful I figured I'd ask you all another question! I decided I want to hire an outside photographer. Do you all know how this is possible since we are not allowed to bring in outside vendors? How much did you all spend on your own photographer when everything is said and done. I want to stay in budget, and a photographer is very important to me so I'm just trying to get an idea on prices!

Thank you all SO much!!

Lauren

Hi everyone! I was wondering, for those who had a legal ceremony, if they actually kept a copy of the certified birth certificate?  I know they use it to translate to Spanish, but do they give it back when they are finished and just keep the Spanish one?  My FI and I aren't happy with that because of the whole ID theft issue.  With the type of work I do I see ID theft all the time and a US certified birth certificate is in high demand in South America.

Just wondering, we might have to go the symbolic route.

Thanks!

If you are hiring an outside photographer you need to book them a nights stay...some people have gotten away with a day pass in the past, however palace resorts have been known to be fussy about this, so to be safe its best to book a nights stay for the wedding night. We hired the amazing Citlalli Rico, we had her and her lovely assistant (and sister) Tammi from 4-10 on our wedding day, then had a 2 hour TTD session, and including the nights stay, I think we came in at just under $3600. A lot of money but OH SO worth it...our pictures are our memories and are crazy amazing! :)

Thanks for responding, I was definitely considering hiring outside vendors, but the $86 guest pass on top of hair and make up would have been a fortune.  After a fair bit of emailing back and worth between the salon coordinator, and my WC, they decided this morning they would make an exception for me and open the salon early!!!

Yahhh! The Power of being a bride smile159.gif

hey girls it has been a month since I got married in Moon Palace and boy has it been a bit crazy here. I have yet to write my review but I am open for any questions anyone might have. So either PM me or send a comment on here. Sorry, I just haven't had a chance to do anything!

Basically it was gorgeous and the Moon Palace staff and Wedding Coordinator did absolutely everything they could to make our day and week so very special!

Just a few questions cheesy.gif  Did you have a reception, if so where?  Who was your WC?  Where on the resort did you get married?  And which section did you stay in?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
