Can someone let me know how much it is for a pass for a wedding. And does this cover the hole wedding. Like reception and everything. I know I saw it on here but can't find it. We have a couple that is coming to ours and they have desided to stay at a different resort. I'm so glad I found out about it now so we could let them know that they will have to get a pass. And how do we go about getting the pass. Thank yall so much.

for the welcome dinner/ rehearsal dinner did anyone go with the two options of...(from gina's email)

About the Rehearsal dinner on the Restaurant:

15 usd plus  11% tax and 15% service charge per person, to reserve an area for the group and the restaurant can be opened  to  the public.

This charges apply because this a special amenity that we do for our weddings, since we can´t make  reservations for our restaurants, it is first serve, so in order for us to guarantee that the whole group will sit in the same area, we need to make reservation. ( menu from the Restaurant).

For private event on the  Beach.

35 usd plus 11% tax and 15% service charge per person, and you can choose a buffet ( minimum 25 people),  or set menu ( drinks included).

or did you guys just all show up to a restaurant at the same time and sit down...

is it just me or does everyone feel like were being ripped off considering everyone is already paying for an all inclusive vacation YET every single thing we are all going to do together is an extra charge???!!

I have under 100 days left too!! EEE!! i can't wait to park my butt in the sun!

We were going to do a formal family (rehersal) dinner because our families haven't met and it is important to us, but we do not really want to add another couple hundred dollars to our budget for it. My plan is to have the immediate family meet at one of the restaurants right when they open and hope for the best. There should be about 15-20 of us. Then we are having the rest of our guests meet at a bar around 8:00pm so EVERYONE can mingle and meet each other- we have about 27 people coming.

Regarding your other question, we are doing a 3 hour reception. If we want to keep the party going, we will go to one of the bars. I went to a wedding at Dreams Tulum last summer, and that is exactly what we did and it was great!

I completely agree that they are ripping us off with this. we are paying for a meal that is already paid for. i wanted to do a welcome dinner but I may not just because it is a total scheme on behalf of the hotel. I am a little turned off by this to be honest.

I don't feel like we're being ripped off because a wedding like this at the Jersey Shore would cost much more money.  I think keeping my wedding under $10,000 is perfect and you pay extra for quality service and individual service to your group.

it is definitely cheaper then anything in NJ but man they really try to bang us for every little thing. especially the tax and convenience charge on everything we do.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
