This is great! Thanks again. I have one question, and I'm sorry if you've mentioned this before, but is that the pool terrace or the pool deck?

Did everyone carry them on or did they go in boxes in checked luggage?  Thanks!!

I think everyone just put them in their luggage wrapped in tissue - They were so easy to fluff up - on the way home I just threw it in the suite case and it was perfect just needed to adjust the wires so the flowers spread out - they weren't super huge and didn't take up a ton of room - so even those who used boxes didn't have space issue.

We had our reception on the Pool Deck - its the drop off side of the infinity pool between the pool and the beach.

How many different entrees did you give your guests to choose from? Im still confused lol and it takes forever to get a response from Gina.

Hi Just wondering how it was for wind having the reception outside? I really want to take advantage of the outdoors but dont want people to be upset if it's too windy? I see you mentioned something about the candles? Is the Carribean buffet part of the package?

To be honest the whole week we were there the wind was just perfect that night - just a slight breeze so there was no bugs.  The other nights it was crazy windy.  Now... just to let you know, it was a changing of the seasons the last 2 weeks which means all this rain comes in and wind, which pushes more warm air in.  They said it is how they know "spring" is here.  In that case I would see if other brides who had weddings around your date have had less windy weather.

Yeah The candles didn't stay lit even with the breeze coming in - I would recommend flameless either way.

The Carribean buffet is 1 of the 3 choices in the Ultimate package if your party is over 40 people -

Tonight I will update my blog with the other options for dinners.

Evangelina told me that we had to choose one entree for everyone. I think it seems weird. If anyone else was able to give their guests options, please let me know how to go about doing so.

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
