The rose petals are $22 per bag, and someone else said that Ana had stated it would take 7-8 bags to get decent coverage on the walkway. I think it would be a lot cheaper to go to a little market and buy several dozen roses and just pluck the petals.

I am going to ask Ana (or Yazmin) about the beach decor. Someone on an earlier post quoted that it is something like $5 per chair for them to provide the decorations, whereas you can buy the same stuff in the states for 50 cents. However, some of the earlier brides also said they left their decorations for future use, so I am curious if Ana lets you use them for free, or if she tries to charge, even though they were donated.

Let me know if Ana or Yazmin answer you about the beach decor. My TA is going to email her also. I have found sating chair sashes for .50 each and I am just going to buy them and take them because she charges $5 a chair. I'm sure that the stuff other brides have left will just go in their decorations and she still charges for it :( I am interested in finding out about the beach thingy though because I would love it to be covered in orange and pink instead of white

Most of the resorts have one main beer that you can get on tap and then several others that you can get in bottles.  We stayed at Secrets Capri (sister resort) last fall and the beer on tap was Corona.  You could still get Pacifico, Sol and a few others in bottles, but if you just asked for beer, it was Corona.  I also believe it was Corona stocked in the room refrigerators.

(A year ago I stayed at a different, unaffiliated resort and their main beer was Dos XX)

@wisconsinbride - Was the $200 price based on a certain number of chairs?  Was that utilizing 'her' materials or you supplying and her just providing labor?  Or was it whatever price sounded good to her at the time? lol...

I just finished my review. I'd be glad to answer any questions, although I doubt I'll be on here as much - I have five kids that keep me busy! If you have a question, feel free to email me!

For things like the sand ceremony, welcome bag & welcome bag contents, and etc... are you guys packing and taking all of them or shipping them there?  (what about the people that have already gotten married- what did you go)  We just have about 50 people coming and that I like a whole extra suitcase?!?!  thanks for your help :)

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
