Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

The hotels change their policies like the direction of the wind, its always moving around and they have right to set policies on private property.  I know we have personally covered events there last year, but really its all about politics and on site studios closing the door or having selective vendor lists where the photographers pay commission to the hotel and or on site photographers.

Personally, being a guest of the hotel still always sounds like the way its done :)  pulls rank a bunch with a lot of properties and management policies for a lot of my friends who travel the world in this business and who come here and visit us...

good luck with your planning :) Thank you for your interest :) let us know if we can help you answer any other questions. saludos

Based on what I was previously told by Eva she said they usually recommend 10 meters to decorate, which is 10 yards.

Hey everyone! So we decided to not have the cocktail hour and use that credit toward more people for dinner. Gina said that was okay. However, we will be having the mariachi trio play since it is included in the ultimate package. Where should I have them play after the wedding? Should I have everyone go to the lobby bar? Or is there somewhere else I should have them play before dinner? Our reception is 5:30-6:30, then I wanted the mariachi trio to play from 6:30-7:30 soomewhere and then dinner at 7:30???

this site is crazy when it comes to posting links or downloading content...

i tried to post 2 links to frames for the sand ceremony that everyone was asking about.. we actually ended up buying one for $70 on etsy...

ALSO

what DJ has anyone here used, and what were your thoughts?

AVI or VISUALSOUND are our only two options and I'm trying to nail down the details....

thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
