I am finding that guests are not using the website and most of ours are internet users. I am finding it frustrating for folks to keep calling me and not using it. I am taking the time, energy, effort to update it so use it..so I have started telling them when they ask me stuff..did u check the website? I also had it included on our STD's...

Are any of you experiencing this problem?..if so how are you handling it?

I, too, completely understand! We take the time to do the website so people can have all the information they need at their fingertips. Yet, people will still ask you a bunch of questions! One of our groomsmen was almost making fun of me for sending out an STD and having a website..yet he still asks us a bunch of questions..lol!

I just answer their question and kind of mention that the info is on the website and that we'll be updating it whenever we have new information...hopefully it's a big enough hint so that people will stop asking us the same questions over and over.

Good luck!

I'm in the same boat! I sent out the STDs (finally!) and i'm starting to feel like a broken record. people asked me to send them the TA info, which was on the std. So far, we haven't really gotten much website traffic, I really hope it picks up.

this is a great thread and if anyone has tips for getting more people to look at the site (and rsvp) that would be great!

I feel your pain! I had people, my DH included, asking me the SAME questions over and over again. I answered their questions for a minute but then I just started saying check the website. If people are constantly asking me the same questions, then I refused to continue providing them with the answers because if it was important to them, they would've remembered the answer. As the months went on, my reply to people, including my DH, was "The information is out there. Find it."

I also have been having this problem. I usually just answer their questions, but let them know they can refer to the website too for any other information. I have found people to be reluctant to use the website or my TA. They just want to go through me, haha. Oh well...

Good luck ladies - I never figured out how to get people to stop asking me and instead look at all the info I had already provided. I ended up just answering the questions as they came and occassionally doing blast emails if I felt it was an issue others would probably ask me about too.

Honestly, it was even more frustrating once we got to the DW and everyone kept asking me the schedule and I kept saying, did you read your welcome letter in your OOT bag - it's all there!! But I answered their questions anyways. So be forewarned, sorry, it doesn't get better!

Haha when will people understand that the website is up for a reason!?! I've completely avoid questions...I think everyone knows by now that they should contact our TA and find info via the website. We even had our guests RSVP through our website so they could get info before calling and the link to book is there. Kind of to force them there.

I've been very lucky to have my TA shield me from a lot. I don't know what I would do without her!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
