Place Cards - IDEAS NEEDED! Please!

What if you did a small picture frame with everybody's name inside it? That would match with the picture frame centerpieces then. You could still color code them by using cardstock where the picture goes and you could put their names on that??

 

Or, you could simply put a lily at each spot, tied with ribbon with their names on it

 

We had also at one point thought of doing the nicer luggage tags at each persons spot.

Sarah I was at pottery barn today and I thought of you, they had some cute outdoor place settings up and the place cards were very cute ideas. They had the starfish thing, and sand dollar thing, but they also had little bottles and the names were inside like message in a bottle. So you could still do the different colored cardstock for the type of meal they are eating in the bottle I would imagine.

i had those small fans (and might have enough for you if you want them!), and tied a little card, folded with a thank you note on the inside and the name/table # on the outside. not sure that makes sense,

since i did a very poor job of explaining - there is a picture of my placecard/fans in the slideshow if you're interested (slide #90). i had Nicole put them out before the ceremony so people could use them if they were hot, but i think most people but them at their seats.

OK, I can't see photos at work, so I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this before... but i thought it was a great place card idea! Simply write the name of your guest on the sand dollar and tie it around their glass!

I'm planning to use bright colored leather luggage tags. This will also be their favor.

 

But I like some of the other ideas on here too. Maybe I'll use the "champagne glass" or "mini message in a bottle" idea for the Welcome Dinner seating.
