Well go with your heart. This is a very special occation and I read another post on here where her bride was definiately disapointed in her photo choice and wished she had gone with the first one. I am currently doing research on photographers right now so I don't have too much input. But if you can scrap up some extra cash to get the one who will portray your special moments in time the best then try (ask you all's family to contribute)..

I totally agree with going with your heart. It just has to FEEL perfect. Do what you need to do to make YOU happy. (and your Fiance as well of course) wink.gif

I agree with Tammy, ask to see a full album - this way you'll get a much better idea of what the full coverage looks like and might answer a lot of your questions.

Sol is great, but you can't compare the best wedding photographer in the world with anyone else - it's just not the same thing and you're bound to be disappointed with something. There are other great photographers out there though, who may be more affordable for you. Look around and ask questions! I had also looked at Elizabeth Medina, who is fantastic and located in the same area as Sol, you might want to check her out! Elizabeth Medina Photography, Mexico Destination Wedding Photographer, Wedding Photojournalism throughout the Riviera Maya, Yucatan and Mexico

Good luck with everything - I'm in the process of choosing my photographer as well and am having such a hard time making up my mind!

nobody really reads the posts in the threads as they are still people saying "go with your heart" etc. While I agree with what you are saying, this thread could officially be "closed" because the original thread author

1. Chose her photographer

2. Had her wedding

3. Wrote a review and posted her pics.

I guess none of this matters though, many people will still probably not read this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
