I feel your pain...I thought my first dress at $350 was a lot for a DW. Then I found the second one. *dreamy sigh* And with alterations it's over $800.

But every time I think about my dress I just feel like I'm floating and I look at the pictures I took in the fitting room. I've even been to visit my dress at the alterations shop. (Yeah, I like it that much!)

So I say if you LOVE it then go for it!

My best friend found a dress she addored and could not afford it so she found the exact dress on ebay for like 1/4 of the price! Anther friend of mine is really really tiny like a size zero and she bought a nicole miller dress for $600 they made her order a size 8 and just altered the dress to fit her. She looked stunning and it fit like it was made for her. It was a very delecate silk like this dress on your thread. So I would say not to worry about exact size when looking on ebay. =) Hope this helps

I have emailed about 7 different online places so far. I have seen a couple replica's and so far haven't seen one I am happy with. I am waiting to hear back from a few more online stores......I am so close to just ordering it....My FI will forgive me lol :)

I say that you only go around once (hopefully). Splurge on that dream dress. Cut back on other accessories if need be. You are probably saving quite alot by doing a destination wedding instead of the traditional at home. So use that extra money and buy what you really want.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
