*I think I forgot to add that it is very windy! I am thankful that I had my hair up. I battled with my veil a bit but that created some cute pics!

Reception area outside the Mexican restaurant. The restaurant was closed this particular evening so the space was completely private.

This fountain split the dinner space in 2. We had tables set up on both sides and then at the head of the fountain was a table for the two of us. The waiters quickly moved out table back and we had our first dance at the head of the fountain also. It worked out great!

what did the resort charge you to bring in an outside photographer?
We paid $100 for Claudia and her assistant to come to the resort. If your outside vendor is at your reception/dinner and want to eat then apparently you have to pay extra for that.

All of my guest stayed the Valentin so I am not sure. The resort does not require bracelets but you do have to get checked in at the gates.

Thank you for the review and the pics! You are a gorgeous bride!

VIM is on my top 2 list from Mexico area, mainly b/c I would like a Chapel ceremony. Did you happen to see the chapel? Any opinion? Also, did you, DH, and the witnesses stay 4 day requirement? Other resorts have told me that this isn't necessary, but VIM WC has told me this is required...not sure who to believe...

Congratulations on your marriage and hope you are loving being the newlyweds!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
