Recommended Posts

It seems that every time I look at a hotel and dates for 2010 I have the worst luck! lol So I was looking for april/may/june 2010 at the Grand Palladium Bavaro and it says unavailable. Is it possible that they book up that fasthuh.gif I saw some reviews and was interested in pricing for rooms but, it looks like there aren't any available. sad.gif

Are you just checking online? A lot of the resorts do have conventions and conferences, which take up a lot of rooms - but I would suggest you use a TA ... b/c they can work directly with the resort to let them know your preferred dates and expected # of rooms and work from there to find dates that will work and block off the rooms. Otherwise, you run the risk of the resort selling out now or down the road before all of your guests are booked. Having a TA who is abe to have the resort block off a certain # of rooms is your best bet.

And you also have to make sure, once you pick a resort that has availability ... that the judge/minister is available as well to perform the ceremony.

Alot of resorts haven't released their rates yet for that time of year. I am getting married May 18,2010 at the Majestic and I am waiting for the prices from the resort. When I search on their site for availability it says unavailable which is what I think is happening to you. I would definitely contact a TA because it will make things alot easier for you. Good luck and congrats!

thanks girls! I was planning on getting a TA but I was hoping to look at prices so I could get an idea... I am torn between majestic and palladium, but I wanted to compare prices and stuff. I don't want to choose a date and then not know if rooms are available during that time. thanks for your help. maybe ill just contact a ta early for ideas hehe

thanks.. I keep changing my mind on resorts! lol so many options. I really liked the majestic but it seems more expensive. We will probably go with Grand Palladium Bavaro if rooms/dates are available because it will be a couple grand saved. Plus I like that the price is cheaper and the free dinner seems like it is semi private. And that there are 3 places at one. I will have to contact a TA and see whats available. Thanks again!

now i'm back on to GP Bavaro too - it's going to be cheaper for the guests than DPB (our other front runner), but i'm hoping if that's the make / break factor, they will be inthe royal suites at GP for a cheaper than DPB, by almost $50/day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
