    Hello all!

I just got back this past Sunday from the Mexican Riviera Maya. I went down there for my site visit with my fiancee, both of our parents and his brother and brother's wife. We wanted input from our families, as well as an excuse for us to all vacation together.

We visited Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun, Paradisus Riviera Cancun and Royal Hideaway Playacar. All were very nice, but so different from one another. We loved the layout of Paradisus, the romance and elegance of Secrets Capri and the attention to detail at Royal Hideaway. In the end, we have to rule out Royal Hideaway simply because it will be too expensive for our guests to stay there. We're now left debating between Secrets and Paradisus and can't make up our mind!

If anyone out there has any positive or negative feedback about either resort, I'd greatly appreciate it! I'm hoping to put down my deposit and lock in a date AND a resort by this weekend, but if I can't make up my mind I may be flying back AGAIN to check out more spots to better make up my mind. I'm hoping to avoid that!

    Thank you!

Welcome! I was recently married at Paradisus. Drop by the thread - lots of info and the ladies there are so helpful.

          A quick pro/con:

          Pros: 1 wedding a day
          Liked the wc
          Beach-front ceremony available
          Excellent restaurant/concierge service

          Cons: Seagrass on the beach
          Dislike spa and spa services
Kids - wasn't a problem while I was there, but an adults-only would
          have been even better :)
Rainy day option is a ballroom

How fun that you did a site visit with your family too! It sounds like you can't go wrong either way. Do they both have comperable wedding packages? Good Luck!
