Mel - I'm sorry you're home sick this week! I've been on a "power boost" from my trainer the last couple weeks... putting in three heavy duty workouts each week and it really hit me yesterday! I'm totally in deficit mode right now but thankfully I just have one more week of it. I'm worried that as soon as my body is able to relax from all this, I'm going to get slammed with sickness since that's what usually happens with me. My nervous energy keeps all the viruses and nasty germs at bay!

 

Michele - I like your list too! I think that's the direction I'm heading for sure! I was also worried about FI not having enough clothes so we bought him a couple new pairs of shorts and golf tees. We're just getting summer clothes in the stores now and I'm having a really hard time finding shorts for myself which is not a good thing!

michele your OOT bags look fantastic!!

 

tara, i love your story too.. very cool! plus, blending families together is no easy task and it sounds like you guys have done a very good job at it!

 

and wtf is up with people not booking or rsvping?!

 

as for the books.. you can def do them on vistaprint for a better price, but if you want a decent price and super amazing quality, check out blurb. they were amazing!!

Michele - your OOT bags look awesome!!! Good job, your guests are really going to like them! I need to start to organize mine this weekend, because I really forget everything I have for them! My mugs are on order though! can't wait to get those!

 

Tara, LOVE the story, very sweet and very nice to hear a blending go well! We've talked lots about the what if's, even though we've been together for 8 years and have a 21 month old together, children change everything and we're pretty much realists at this point in our lives knowing anything can happen anytime, so it's nice to know that there are Happy Stories out there too!

 

To all the new gals! WELCOME!!!!!!!!!! I see a few new uhm "faces" lol speaking of new faces, those BD shots are HOT! I soooo wish I would have been able to do some, but maybe I'll get done for our first anniversary, if I don't end up preggers, then I'll just make them Maternity shots! lol sexy mat shots!

 

Ok so I forget everything else I had to say, OH Thanks for the comments on the bouquets!!! I'm pretty happy with them for what their worth - I mean they are not the best quality flowers but they look "real touch" if you don't look at the stems, lol and I wanted to save money so........

 

Mel hope you're feeling better soon, being sick always sucks!

So I just woke up about a half hour ago (I know I'm lucky for you girls who are working, but if it means anythin, I do have a disease that makes me supper tired a lot)

Anyway...

I woke up to 2 e-mails, 1 from the T.O ppl saying now they ARE coming and they are no longer at 6 people but at 7 and possible 8 by the time they book this weekend. The other email from my cousin saying she booked for the 8th-15th.

I just checked on Vistaprint for the bags, and they are not 50% off!!!!!!

plus the dollar store has no more mugs like I have, so I have to go to Canadian tire and buy $4.99 ones, which will def add up. I guess the bridal party and parents will get the better ones and everyone else gets the dollar store ones.

OMG and I have to label everything, make hang over kits. Oh man, I'm going to be up for the next 48 hours trying to get it all done!!!

I'm ready to throw up now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'm just out the door to go buy most of the things, and get the cats their pedicure (lol)

I will def be back to read you amazing cute story!!!

 

Thanks Meghan, Michele for your support, I know FI feels like telling them all not to come

as it's just way to last min, plus we have to worry about bring their bags since they are out of town !!

also check walmart out, they have great items.. it's where I made my FI BD book.

I'll scan a pic from the book so you can get an idea on what it looks like.

12 pages (4 pics on each) was $33, each extra page is $1.39

I'll post pics when I get back, gone back out to get the GM clothes (woohoo)

I still need to catch up!!

I'm putting in another vote for Blurb. I just got a book from them a couple weeks ago. It's a book I made from a trip FI and I took to Europe two summers ago. I've been working on it for almost a year (it's soooo full of details), and I was so happy with the way it turned out that I almost cried!! Get the premium paper and make sure you constantly back up your project to somewhere else, like a flash drive. Just a little advice coming from a girl who lost half her project at one point. Blurb can't retrieve it for you, so fyi.

 

My book was 160 pages, 8x10 imagewrap hardcover on premium paper for $63.

There is room actually for our week. The prices had gone sky high after Christmas, is the reason they couldn't book, the price were in the $1500-1600... so they did warn me if they price didn't drop they wouldn't make it. 2 days ago the prices drop down to the $1200, so they are able to afford it now.

All I can say is they should have consider this when they found out about a wedding, but I know these people, they always (no matter what) book their trip 2 weeks before their departure date.

It's very very frustrating and annoying, but also very happy more people, more the merrier.

It's just all the OOT bags now I've got to make and more centerpieces (more tables)

The day is fast approching, so all I can think about how close we are to not worrying about anything anymore, just get to enjoy the company and the beach.

 

Meghan, sorry to hear about the friend dropping out, I'm sure ur Fi is a little disapointed, but he probably figured as much!

can't wait to see pics of the real touch flowers, now you all making me want them and feel like my bouquets are crap! lol.

LOL your to funny about the Suzy help!

You guys will have fun making them, and watching the little one! keep us posted!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
