i never even thought that with the privacy setting you could check to see who's been to your site! i have NO way of knowing who has actually looked at ours, but that shouldn't matter too much. i'm putting together an information booklet for everything that i'll hand out with their OOT bags about a month ahead of time that includes all of that info as well.

i don't think i would feel too bad sending our reminders to your guests. they know (or at least they SHOULD know) that this is not a typical wedding so things like rsvps can't be done on the same time table as a wedding at home. your guests aren't going to decide not to come just because you sent an email... they want to be there for your wedding! i think i actually had more people than not tell me they were glad i reminded them because it kept slipping their minds. you can always mention that you need an rsvp because you need a headcount much earlier than you would with a wedding at home!

i am so excited because we finally got our specific WC assigned to us and are starting to get resort-specific questions answered! i decided to wait until we had our WC to ask questions since the ones at our resort are super busy all the time. we managed to already get our reception location reserved and get things arranged so FI's best man can play guitar for the processional! i love checking things off my ever-growing list!

omg, that's awesome that you're having someone you know play your processional. i'm just going with a cd system lol. at first FI and I wanted a violinist to play the Apocalyptica- Nothing Else Matters song but we got scared that they may not know how or if they do they'll butcher it. i'm glad you're also able to start doing resort-specific things. i still have to wait 3 more months to do that kind of stuff! cute pic of your dogs btw!

your so right!! I will send that e-mail after all. Maybe I am wrong (and your totaly right) people will appreciate a reminder as life can make you very busy! especialy if you have kids. I will send that email!! Thanks!!

That's so funny, I got my FI best man to play my song walking down the asile (Canon, in C on gutair) But sadly he wont be able to make it, so it wont be played live, it'll be on my Ipod.

Your puppies are sooo adorable!!! They look like the perfect dogs to cuddle up with in the cold winter days!

Tonya - I love the song you're playing!! I'm going to be singing it for the rest of the afternoon. I've only really heard the Metallica version for the most part, but while I was just writing that I went and searched the version you mentioned and it sounds really good!

I can see why you'd be worried about how well it was played though. Maybe you could find a copy of the sheet music to send down for them to go over and see if it's something they'd be ok to play? Otherwise I think if you've got a decent enough sound system then it should be okay too!

April brides have the cutest furbabies!!! I really want to get Dolce a playmate becaus the family we adopted him from had horses & other dogs..including his mom & dad...

As far as the wesites I had mine printed on my std's but since we changed everything and it's just us...I plan to do some really nice wedding announcements & reference the website since we want the AHR to be formal.. I found that if you keep referencing the website most folks will go to it..I plan to update the site with info for the ahr for the folks coming from out of town and doing their welcome bags...

NOW MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS......our photog is doing our e-pics sunday...and I don't have my ring because a stone fell out and it is being rplcd..ring won't be back till Monday at the latest..and our schedule won't allow us to change the day...so...

a) would you do no ring at all or

B) use a fake ring

hope eveyrone is having a great day!!!!

LOL! I would TOTALLY use a fake ring! Hahaha!

Just after FI and I got engaged, my ring was in being sized and I felt so naked without it, even though i'd really only been wearing it a couple weeks. So instead I wore this awesomely awful pink plastic ring with little plastic rhinestones in it, and started telling everyone that was the ring he proposed with! It was SO funny watching people's reactions!!!

Another idea, if you're ring isn't vastly unique in its shape from far away (or in pictures that aren't close-ups) then maybe you have a girlfriend who's ring you could temporarily borrow, just so that you see some sparkle in the e-pics? And then if you want to do hand shots still, you could just do them another day because I think you mentioned you have the same photographer for ALL your pics correct?? OH! And i don't mean to say that your ring is "normal" by any means because of course its yours! Just wanted to clarify that!

Ok, you ladies all have me jealous of your puppies!!! FI is not an animal lover at ALL and won't let me get a puppy, so I have to live vicariously through your new "babies". I thought I wanted a yorkie pup, but after dog sitting for my friend I thought I would go crazy.... The puppy was sooooo HYPER!! My friend says she will eventually grow out of it and calm down... If that's true, then maybe I can convince my FI to get one that a little more calm :)

Bad news... I went to visit my dress yesterday, and apparently I have been doing way too much eating because it was a tad snug in the butt and hip areas sad.gif The good thing is that I have 6 months to get my act together... So it looks like I need to join in on this fitness trip everyone is taking!!

Shan- I would definitely go with a fake ring. I work in a lab and there are days I refuse to wear my e-ring into work and instead I will wear my promise ring to replace the "naked" feeling.

Christina- Not to discourage you in any way of getting a yorkie but they are VERY hyper. But through experience, my pup has calmed down through the one year we've had him. I have to say that he barks a lot though and I hear that's another Yorkie vice. Other than that he's a big mushball of love.

Meghan- I have thought about purchasing the music sheet and sending it down but my FMIL went through the same thing and come wedding day, the band had to explain to her that they coudln't play her song and she had to go with a different song. After hearing that FI and I are totally content with using a sound system lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
