OOT bag items for the men?

Recommended Posts

I've been scratching my head with this one for a bit now and can't seem to come up with many OOT bag goodies that will appeal to the men. First of all, the canvas totes we found are great and we'll have our logo printed on them but how many men actually use canvas totes? There are about 5 or so single men coming to our wedding and we're considering getting them these ASICS mesh beach bags/backpacks in place of the canvas totes (no iron ons for them, I'm sure they'll miss having the logos...). Now, for the women, we're throwing some of those handy sandalwood fans, the pashminas for the evenings and maybe a lil coin purse to carry a few bare essentials w/them to pool/beach and of course the rest of the stuff (snacks, aspirin, immodium, lip balm, playing cards, candy hearts w/messages in Spanish, lip balm and possible sippy cups/sports bottles) but nothing specifically for the men. It just seems like they're getting the shaft on this deal but we can't find good items for just the men at reasonable prices to make them feel special. What have the rest of you done for the men's OOT bags?

Ok, totally crass, but we have 3 single guys who will be attending our wedding (who happen to be all the groomsmen and are FI's best friends).

We're giving them "man-whore" bags---- backpacks (instead of the pink tote bags for women), with a beach towel, margarita glasses with margarita mix and a tequila bottle once we get to Mexico, custom Mexican phrases for picking up women, poker chips/cards, and condoms....

hehehe....

I love the "man whore" bags!! I have 5 single guys going and now I totally have to do this too - thanks for the ideas!

I found travel size lotions/after shaves for men on Ebay from Lab Series and Zirh.

Gotta love ebay!

HA! I was really wanting to get some condoms w/our names printed on the wrappers like "Sean and Claudia love you!". BAHA! Sean shook his head at that one. <shrug>

We're thinking of Coozies too actually so maybe that's enough? dunno.

I LOVE the "man-whore" bags idea! LOVE IT! Because the men that we're thinking of are so... well, that type. heh. Thank you so much for this idea! I guess we can inter-change 'phrases for picking up men' for the one guy who's not into the ladies. Brilliant!

Oh, that's another good idea. thank you!

It seems so easy to come up with inexpensive accessory ideas for the ladies but not as much for the men. And men say we're difficult...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
