Us too! We're already spending so much on our photographer, but realized that if we don't have a videographer we would end up regretting it later on. Years from now I'd want to watch a video and not have one, that would be so sad sad.gif Even if it's just your ceremony and first dance...you'll want to reflect back on those special moments in the years to come. I'm in the process of getting some quotes trying to keep cost as reasonable as possible being that I don't have high expectations...how can any video be bad, lol? Good luck!!

I went back & forth on this. I finally hired one a few weeks before the wedding. I'm really glad I did. As soon as the ceremony was over I realized that I'd want to be able to relive it.

I enjoy my pictures much more than the video, but I'm still very happy I have the video. i think the video is also something i'll value more in the future. it can be a little hard to watch yourself on film. but i think when i'm older i wont think i look so silly. I've also heard people say their kids love watching their video.

I've also heard brides say the moment the cermeony is over, "I wish I had a video." It just goes by so fast & almost felt like an out of body experience.

I am so wanting one. I wasn't sold on the idea until I saw Shannons video and i died! Since then i've been searching for a GREAT one w/out spending a fortune. We're so close to the wedding I don't have big chunks of money to fork out! Although you definitely need someone experienced and someone who's worked w/ photogs. Alot of photogs have a videographer they normally work with which helps!

Here is Shannon's if you're leaning towards no DO NOT WATCH! You will get sucked inlike me, guaranteed!

We didn't hire one, but brought a HD video recorder with us and asked one of our reliable guests to do the video. No, it wasn't a professional job, but was quite sufficient. It was entertaining to hear her narrative! We purchased a massage for her at the resort in return. I will say we brought our own photographer so we knew we would have some great pics. It was definitely cheaper for us to buy a HD camcorder than to have the resort do the video(for ceremony &reception)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
