Marie's Moon Palace Review 04.02.2009

Thank you so much for the review! I have also requested David Pena for my photographer and seeing your pictures really helped! The one with the birds is amazing! We just switched our room block to the Grand Moon side and are keeping our fingers crossed to avoid construction, but like you said the size of the room really helps! I can't wait to see more of your pictures! Thanks again! :)

can i ask one question - we are planning on doing a ttd session, but wasn't sure if the beach at moon palace would be a good location, because of the seaweed situation - did you do yours at the mp beach - and if not, how long did it take you to get to a near-by beach?

thanks in advance, and again, thanks for the review - very helpful....your pictures make me feel at ease about using the resort hairdresser and make-up artist - you look gorgeous!

Thank you! :)
Due to the outside vendor policy at the resort, we had to use an alternate beach, which was more than fine with me. It gave us a little variety in the photos. You'll notice that the beaches closer to town are a lot more pristine and the water much clearer.... Its actually breathtaking at the Beach Palace which is near downtown.
We made arrangements to meet Cecilia at the Forum mall because there was a nice public beach right near by. Unfortunately the tide was up and the beach was under water, so we hopped in Cece's car and drove to another public beach like five minutes away. The Forum mall was like a 30 minute drive to get to, but then only a 20 minute drive back to the MP (the routes were different). We took a taxi which totalled about $45 round trip.

Thanks all!

There is a beach right next door to the Forum mall. Theres a parking garage and you literally walk out the entrance of the garage and around the cement wall and you're there. The beach we shot at was further north in downtown. It was a locals beach. I can ask Cecilia what the name of the beach was.

thanks for your help...our photographer is going to be staying at the hotel, but i don't want seaweed in my dress!lol

thats good to know the beach is only 30mins away...although we are planning on getting up for sunrise, 30mins might seem like hours at that time in the morning....i'd love to have my ttd in the resort pools, wonder if they'd let us do that!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
