Thanks for the info though girls! I'll check them out for curiosity sake.
Currently we have the Love package and the photographer is included as well but i was going to see if i could trade them for something else like the musical trio since i'm flying down my photographers.

Also, does anyone know if we can play music for free if we rent the whole restaurant out? (I'm assuming the place has speakers to play ambient music anyway)
I will send the e-mail your way. I never even thought about the in-house speakers!! Hmm, that's definitely something I will be adding to my ever-growing list of questions LOL!!!

Hey!!

So I've been thinking...I know that a few of the other brides are also doing Fuschia/Orange for their colors. I'm starting to really think hard about decor options and I was wondering if anyone out there would want to split the cost of some items??

Since I'm one of the first brides for 2010 (March 15) I would take the stuff down to the DR in extra suitcases and we could split that cost as well. For example, I want to do tangerine/fuschia paper lanterns inside the Gazebo and potentially hanging from the ceiling in the SSG. I also want to do rectangle tables and have white ceramic square vases with bunches of flowers in them. I think fuschia or coral orange silk table runners would be great over the simple white linens. Finally, I think silver chargers would be good and I'm not sure if Tiara can offer those. I'm also planning on using starfish as a decorative item. I tried to post some pics to give some idea of what I'm thinking but I am technically challenged when it comes to using this site. If you're interested in sharing some stuff, please email directly [email protected] and we can talk more.

Thanks!

Bridget

Hey Bridget!
That's actually something that Dolfinluck and I had been contemplating as well! I think it's a great idea.

We had looked at the organza chair sashes/runners on this site:
8x108 Organza Sash - Fuchsia50509(10pcs/pk) (those are just the fuscia ones, I would like a mix of orange and fuscia) Their prices seems pretty good, but if you have any other sites/suggestions that'd be great!

I like your other ideas as well! I would definitely like to work together to share some decor!

If you could email me some of your pics that'd be great!

We are thinking if we do the private sunset tour and have dinner on the island they take you to that would be the rehearsal dinner.

Hey ladies,

Here's an email exchange from myself and Tiara. (her answers in bold)

Hi Tiara,

I believe after looking at all the options, we would like to rent the entire Sea Side Grill for our reception on July 14.

I undertsand that this costs $1000 US plus 26% in tax and gratuities.

Can you please tell me what is included with this? The dinner for no more than 60 guests. You will pre – select the meal from the menu of the restaurant.

Will we be able to bring an ipod with music and play it for free over the restaurant's speakers? In that case you will have to pay for the DJ services that is USD 250.00

Will we be able to dance on the patio of the restaurant? Yes.

------

Kinda sucks that I need to hire a dj for this. I'm Greek and my fiance is from the Caribbean so we really wanted to play music that would appeal to both our families as well. (I kinda doubt a dj there would have that.) Plus, all I want to do is hook up my ipod.

I think she's breaking me down. I am tired of struggling to save money.

On another note... my colours for the wedding are going to be white. I know, plain, but also classy. So if anyone wants to go with white and share some chair sashes, etc. let me know.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
