Hi fellow beach brides bride.gif

I would recommend the Barcelo Riviera Maya. They have 5 resorts that range in price from low end, medium, and the palace which is exquisite. My fiance and I chose this resort for that very reason and we are going to stay at the palace since they are suites and offer extra stuff. The resort is excellent if you will have kids attending because they have alot to do and also have a great kids club. My family and I have been going to the Barcelo since Spring 2004 and have never had any complaints. We are actually going on a family vacation at the barcelo riviera maya tropical in may and my fiance and I are doing our site visit then. The resort also offers a beautiful wedding gazebo to get married at if you don't want to be right on the beach and they also have a couple of chapels. See the other threads on the Barcelo if you want more information, you can also look on my wedsite Lauren & Nate - wedding website by mywedding.com for more information on the resort, some parts are still under construction.

P.S. I saw that show on the travel channel and all the resorts are beautiful! Ultimately where you choose will be the perfect place for your wedding and your day!

The Gran Caribe Real even has a play area and kids pool and slides...and it is all inclusive...but its in Cancun if that matters...my daughter just got married there and it was the most unbelievable day...it was the answer to her fairytale wedding she always wanted...she got married on the beach in her barefeet,,,

Check out the smaller boutique hotels so you can take it over and have a super intimate wedding...the service at the PDC hotels in town is great and they love doing wedding groups. it will depend on the size of your group and if they are okay with being outside a resort, they should be it is actually more fun and can be less expensive, but you need to look at your audience.

Many expats own hotels in town so you wont have to deal with language issues or cultural issues.

It is a great way to go and a lot more fun

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
