CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

I've been to 3 different dollarama stores in the GTA and not one has these cloths...considering most of our guests wear normal glasses and everyone wears sunglasses, these are awesome...just wish I could find them....

prescription eyeglasses

scopes and binoculars

anti-reflective Zeiss ET coatings

sun and sport lenses

computer screens

safety and sport goggles

camera lenses

They had them hanging in the area where the luggage tags and camera bags are sold.

I am tired of being jealous of all the great shops our fellow brides south of the border get, like Target and the the Dollar Tree. Let's share with our own great shops from Coast to Coast!

I was recently at the big Dollar store on Douglas St in Victoria and picked up $1 crossword and sudoku books, plus I noticed they also had the $1 first aid kits and some other great stuff in the pharmacy aisle.

I'm currently looking for Spanish for Dummies, playing cards, bubble bath or bath salts, and individual packets of alka-slezer immodium or pepto. If anyone has any ideas on where to get this stuff I'd be greatly appreciative.

Also, I have yet to buy my actual bags...I've been looking on some American based websites and found some great tote bags, but with the exchange rate, etc the cost is slowly creeping up and I was hoping to spend only around $5 per bag.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to sharing!

Hi everyone,

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet (since I just came across this thread) but imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a Dollar Tree...at Weston Road & 401 in Toronto! Sorry if I'm late on this, but I've been hearing U.S. brides carry on about how great DT is and all their great finds...I for one am very excited to actually go into the store and see what they have to offer...

Ohhhh...sorry...I haven't been back since I bought these, so I'm not sure what their status is here.  All I know is I've never seen them before, so maybe they have yet to put them out there?!?

I went into the Newmarket Dollar Tree the other day and my review is mixed. Although did carry a lot of items similar to the US stores, they didn't have a lot of the items I had purchased for my OOTs there. Their candy section also wasn't that great. Mind you, they JUST opened so I'm sure will be getting more stock in gradually. One good find was that they had the battery operated candles....not the votives the actual candles like they sell at Michael's for like $8 each. Unfortunately I didn't need them but other brides might be interested. I think they are part of the Christmas stock just arriving.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
