Hi girls! I hope everyone had a good holiday... Mel- still jealous you went back to PF. thought about you the whole time.

 

I thought the 5% transfer was crazy too... but that's how it is done and it was nice to only have to do it once.

Hey Girls! We were informed about the 5.5% cc charge before hand- Mexico has so many different taxes and weird cc glitches.

 

We actually had no "changes" come up. From start to finish, everything was exactly as quoted. Lindsay keeps meticulous records. My guess is that any changes may just be growing pains as they expand their staff.

Hi ladies....Happy New year!! Sorry its been a few weeks. Ive been super busy with starting a new job, training and traveling for it. Then the holidays. Our day is fast approaching...i think we are less then 100 days, i cant decide what im stressed out more about.... 1- i still need to get my dressed altered 2- crunch time for bride body, hitting gym & eating right 3- or getting the remaining stuff done, like invitations, shower (which im not doing though), welcoming bags, etc.

 

But to answer a few questions or give you some insight. The wedding planning is coming along good. Lindsey and Blaire are awesome always on top of every little detail. We are looking to cute costs in some areas and not others. A cake is not a big deal to me..i dont care for it and dont eat it at weddings plus it can get expensive and go to waste. So i aksed if i could do Churros....Lindsey LOVED the idea and put into action right away. She has already had the chef make her a sample and she fell in love with them. (this has never been dont before) plus the price is so cheap... only $1.25 per person/churro. Now thats a deal!!!

 

one thing i would say to all new brides looking at PF. It is a business and Adam seems to be the one who runs it. make sure anything you are quoted or told you get in WRITING or email.

 

we are still undecided on doing the dance floor due to the cost. As far as our guests we have 11 or 12 of the 20 rooms booked. I know now that the holidays are over people are looking into booking now. Thats the last and final real stress for us is making sure the rooms are full.

Im so happy to hear Christmas so so amazing there...that's exactly whay we want to do this Christmas...go back and use our free week. I had talked to Lindsey alot leading up to everyones arrival that week, How did the koozies she had made turn out. I just ordered Monday from the same company, our koozies for the wedding to put in the welcome bags.

why are all of the flights so rediculously expensive to PVR in the next couple of months?!. So frusterating!

The koozies were soooo cute! We lost and found our about 3 times. Sometimes I forget PF isn't my home and I just leave stuff everywhere. Oh, by the way, there is a lost and found by the pool! Anyways, the koozies rocked, and of course they will be my new favorites at home (after football season because my Charger's koozie is #1 right now). I'll upload a pic later on.

 

Kate, I hope you can find something!!! The wedding couple from MN paid about $400 for their xmas tickets.

Thank you! I do think that the envelopes are my fave too, most likely because they were the easiest part of the whole thing!

OMG, I totally asked about churros on Sunday! I was so excited when Blaire said that they have them - I've been dreaming about them since we chose to get married in PV. I'm not sure though if I'll do them on one of the other nights or in addition to the cake. I was also wondering about Mexican wedding cookies - anyone ever tried them

Down to 3 colour themes, now I just need to eliminate 2!
