  1. Sara...Sayulita is AMAZING...by BFF got married there 2 years ago. It was Tyler's and i 1st vacation together. we fell in love there and with the city. Its what inspired our destination wedding in mexico so we could honeymoon there. Its a small surfing & fishing village. People are very friendly, lots of Great places to eat, a little night life, peaceful but fun. We are spending our honey moon there. We are staying at Villa Amor...its a small boutique hotel. There are also 1 bedroom places you can rent they're like little cassitas. Check out sayulitalife.com it has all the info you'd like. If you have any other questions feel free to email me. I can give you my email address or phone # if you prefer to chat.
  2. Im so happy to hear Christmas so so amazing there...that's exactly whay we want to do this Christmas...go back and use our free week. I had talked to Lindsey alot leading up to everyones arrival that week, How did the koozies she had made turn out. I just ordered Monday from the same company, our koozies for the wedding to put in the welcome bags.
  3. Hi ladies....Happy New year!! Sorry its been a few weeks. Ive been super busy with starting a new job, training and traveling for it. Then the holidays. Our day is fast approaching...i think we are less then 100 days, i cant decide what im stressed out more about.... 1- i still need to get my dressed altered 2- crunch time for bride body, hitting gym & eating right 3- or getting the remaining stuff done, like invitations, shower (which im not doing though), welcoming bags, etc. But to answer a few questions or give you some insight. The wedding planning is coming along good. Lindsey and Blaire are awesome always on top of every little detail. We are looking to cute costs in some areas and not others. A cake is not a big deal to me..i dont care for it and dont eat it at weddings plus it can get expensive and go to waste. So i aksed if i could do Churros....Lindsey LOVED the idea and put into action right away. She has already had the chef make her a sample and she fell in love with them. (this has never been dont before) plus the price is so cheap... only $1.25 per person/churro. Now thats a deal!!! one thing i would say to all new brides looking at PF. It is a business and Adam seems to be the one who runs it. make sure anything you are quoted or told you get in WRITING or email. we are still undecided on doing the dance floor due to the cost. As far as our guests we have 11 or 12 of the 20 rooms booked. I know now that the holidays are over people are looking into booking now. Thats the last and final real stress for us is making sure the rooms are full.
  4. I tried to add my first name & fiance's to the date list but it wasnt letting me save it. So could someone please put Christa & Tyler as the 1st names for wieseelliott. Thank you Crystal- your dress is beautiful on you. I too have been having 2nd thoughts of my dress. I've had to have friends who have seen it talk me off the ledge. so its totally normal the way your are feeling. I havent even taken mine in to get altered yet...have to do that right after christmas & NY...just in time to eat bad for the holidays then hope the dress fits lol
  5. Hi all PV brides Thanks for all the posts, feedback, updates etc. Our wedding date is April 16, 2010 if someone wants to add that to the list. I have to strongly reccomend going on your honeymonn up to Sayulita, its about 45 mins North of puerto vallarta. its the cutest little fisherman/surfer village. My best friend got married there 2 years ago, my fiance and i fell in love with the town. It was also the 1st vacation we went on together. We are going back there for a week after our wedding and i cant wait. the town has so much charm, fun vibe, amazing food, shopping, nice beaches etc. and you cant beat the prices there. check out the site Information for Sayulita Nayarit Mexico including vacation rentals, real estate, maps and restaurants for the village of Sayulita So i have a few other questions for anyone to answer...has anyone used the videographer they offer? i've talked to 2 past brides that lindsey put me in touch with but i'd love to get more feedback. Is anyone doing a buffet dinner and making menus for it?
  6. thanks ladies for all the replies so far. we signed our contract & booked end of august beginning of september. we have about 50-60 people coming. we did the partial 20 room take-over. How challenging was it to bring down your own linens for the tables?
  7. Hi all playa fiesta brides- My name is Christa, my fiance Tyler & i are getting married at PF April 16,2010. Of course like all of you- we are extremely excited. I have a few questions i wanted to ask all of you. 1) did any of you use the videographer the hotel suggests? 2) did any of you go without the dance floor? As far as the dance floor- we just arent sure its worth the $1000+ when i have seen pictures of other weddings where they are dancing in the open area by the pool. 3) how were all the rooms- bridal suite, penthouses, other ocean view rooms? they seem very nice but hard to tell since its just pictures thank you, ive found all the other posts helpful. christa
