Help!!!List of Pictures to give Photographer!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I am getting married on July 15th 2009 at the Moon Palace Resort in Mexico. I have heard from so many brides that they wish that they had brought a professional photographer from back home.We can't afford this and decided to help the photographer and give him more direction. What were some of the pictures that you just had to havehuh.gifMy list so far is:

1. Husband taking garter off with teeth

2. Walking hand in hand into the sunset

3. Him dipping me and kissing me

4. picture of our feet in the sand

5. picture of wedding dress hung up

Can you guys help me out and tell me any pictures that worked well for you or what you are giving your photographer!!!

Thanks!!!smile03.gif

May I make a suggestion? Most photographers are going to know the basic pictures their bride and grooms are going to want to do. However the ones you should list out for them are ones like you with certain guests. One's that maybe might be missed if the photographer doesn't know who is important to you (they will know to get shots with you, hubby and the parents, etc)

My only regret, and I had an amazing photographer, is that I didn't tell him to take pictures of just my Husband.

Also I think you might be surprised at how affordable some of the photographers are that are located within the states. When I hired my Destination photographer (he was located in Cabo, so he was local there) I only hired him 3 hours, and it was very $$, but he was worth every dime.

  • 2 weeks later...

what i've found myself doing is, looking through all the gorgeous past brides photos on here, and saving pictures that i like. I know the photographer will know what basic photos to take, but i want some different ones done, so this way, i'll be able to show her!

Thats a good idea about the ppl we want photos with though, didn't think of that!

Also, we are getting married at mp, and are going to use a cancun based photographer for our wedding. The photos i've seen from the mp photographers look good, but i want better...and a ttd session! cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
